Simon PR Gains Attention For FMC Program

To help teachers inspire the next generation of scientists, FMC has introduced "Teaching the Science of Curiosity,” a professional development program for Philadelphia School District teachers. The initiative launched with free workshops and a teachers’ lounge at the Philadelphia Science Festival and continues with a Summer Science Institute by The Franklin Institute.

Simon PR planned the announcement at Hill Freedman Middle School in the West Oak Lane neighborhood. In attendance, were Philadelphia School District Superintendent, Dr. William Hite, Jr., representatives from the Science Festival, and FMC scientist Dr. Frank Zawacki, who taught students how to make gummy worms.

Fox-29's Claudia Gomez reported and 6-ABC sent a camera. Other media that covered the announcement included The Philadelphia Tribune, KYW Newsradio, Newsworks.org, Technical.ly Philly andGeekadelphia.com.

Simon PR also developed a series of eblasts to gain teacher participation at the Science Festival workshops.
