George Strait In Philly; Tkts. On Sale 10/11


Musical icon George Strait brings the final leg of his two-year tour, The Cowboy Rides Away Tour, to the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, February 28.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 11 at 10 a.m. exclusively through ComcastTIX online at ComcastTIX.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200 or in person at the Wells Fargo Center box office.

Strait revealed he will have special guests on each tour weekend that will be matched with the corresponding tour date and market via a “tweet to unlock” campaign. Special guests will include Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, Chris Young, and more.

“The first leg of the tour earlier this year was very fun, but also very emotional,” said Strait. “Every city and venue holds such great memories. I’m really looking forward to seeing our fans out on the road in 2014.”

Strait, who recently renewed his record deal with MCA Records during a celebration at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, will continue to record new music and play select dates around the country following the completion of the tour. The Cowboy Rides Away Tour will offer fans a final opportunity to see Strait’s live show filled with top hits from his remarkable career, including many of his 60 No. 1 hits which is more than any other artist in any genre.

Additionally, Strait will receive Billboard’s Legend of Live Award in a ceremony taking place in New York City this November. Strait is the first country music artist to receive the magazine’s most coveted touring award.
