Exciting Programs Set At Philly's NMAJH

From a family day on Independence Mall, to a film series, to a day when grandparents can bring their grandchildren to the Museum for some fun, the National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) will be featuring a wide array of public programs for the whole family to complement its groundbreaking exhibition Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming American
The schedule is as follows:

Second Sundays: Family Activities - Baseball, Teamwork, Family, and Community

Sundays April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, and October 12
10:30 am - Noon and 3:00 – 4:30 pm
FREE with Museum admission; Advance registration recommended, most appropriate for ages 5 and up.
Families are invited to share their favorite family baseball memories and to explore Chasing Dreams through storytelling, games, arts & crafts and interactive self-guided tours. Activities are developed with multigenerational groups in mind and are fun for kids and adults alike.
Family-friendly films such as The Sandlot and Rookie of the Year will also be shown on Second Sundays as part of the Museum’s “Classics and Crackerjacks” series. See the full schedule here.

Chasing Dreams Mall Extravaganza
Sunday, June 15 – Father’s Day
10:00 am – 5:30 pm
FREE
The Museum is taking it outside for this fun family day on Independence Mall featuring games, arts and crafts, meet-and-greets with MLB personalities, music, and more! The festivities will continue into the evening with a special outdoor screening of Field of Dreams.

Grandparents Day 
Sunday, September 7
10:00 am – 5:30 pm
Free for grandparents, and for children 12 and under.
Grandmothers, bubbies*, and nanas! Grandfathers, zadies*, and pops! Grandparents can grab the grandkids for a day of fun at the Museum. Families can explore Chasing Dreams, take a journey through time in our interactive, family-friendly permanent exhibition, participate in a Spotlight talk, or read a story together in a cozy spot. Visitors can release their creative spirits withChasing Dreams-themed arts and crafts and have fun outside with activities on the Museum’s Plaza. There is something for kids of all ages!
