Here is a very special message from the Lynne Abraham campaign:
March is women’s history month; a time to recognize the unlimited potential of women. Despite all that women have accomplished, there is so much more to do--from equal pay for equal work to protecting women’s reproductive rights, and ending discrimination in the workplace. And a woman has never been Mayor of Philadelphia. Let's change that, and, in doing so, add to the amazing accomplishments of women everywhere. Throughout her life, Lynne has been a trailblazer. After graduating from college, Lynne went on to graduate from Temple Law School, where she was one of only two women in her class.
Lynne did not end there. She was the first woman elected to the Municipal Court and then served as a Common Pleas court judge. She was also the first woman elected District Attorney in our city’s history, where she served for five consecutive terms.
