Live Blogging The State Of The Union - Part 3

Here, the President speaks proudly and boldy of "defending religious liberty."

There's a word for what's happening here tonight. It's Reaganesque!

We haven't seen anything like this since The Great Communicator himself.

The President says we must remove federal employees "who undermine the public trust or fail the American people."

"We have eliminated more regulations than any administration in American history."

"We are now, very proudly, an exporter of energy to he world."

"Many car companies are now building and expanding plants in the United States, something we haven't seen in decades!"

"This is all news Americans are totally unaccustomed to hearing. For years and years, jobs were leaving us."

"Exciting progress is happening every single day. Last year the FDA approved more procedures and medication and medical devices that at any year in our history."

"Fixing the injustice of high drug prices" will be one of his "top priorities for the year," President Trump says.

"The era of economic surrender is over. From now on we expect trading relationships to be fair, and more importantly, reciprocal."

"I'm asking both parties to come together to give us safe, fast and reliable infrastructure." Here, Pelosi and most of the Democrats again, incredibly, refuse to applaud.

But Democrat Senator Manchin (WV) stands up -- and he'd damn well better because President Trump's popularity is higher in West Virginia than anywhere in the country, according to the latest polls.

Why are the Democrats wearing purple ribbons? Who knows? So much identity politics, so much fragmentation, so much splintering, such divisiveness!
