Outrageous Raises Will Cost NJ Taxpayers MORE!

New Jersey State Senator Anthony Bucco (R-25), the Senate Republican Budget Officer, blasted a contract negotiated by the Murphy Administration with the New Jersey CWA, which represents approximately 40,000 taxpayer funded union members employed by the State:
Sen. Anthony Bucco blasted a contract negotiated by Gov. Phil Murphy that would give tens of thousands of union members raises that could top 20 percent at the expense of New Jersey taxpayers. (Pixabay)
“It’s outrageous that Governor Murphy would give massive salary increases that could top 20 percent to union members without demanding anything in return for taxpayers, like concessions on expensive health benefits. It’s especially egregious considering the $1.7 billion in tax increases the Governor has proposed to fund his generosity with other people’s money. This wasn’t as much a contract negotiation as it was a pure giveaway."
