He seems to have a splendid background, is superintendent of schools in a top-notch district and is a lecturer at a well-respected graduate school of education.
But now he's been arrested and charged with lewdness, littering and defecating in public.
He's Thomas Tramaglini, the superintendent of the Kenilworth (NJ) school district and he's been allegedly pooping on or near the Holmdel High School athletic fields.
"I don't know if it was daily, but it's been going on for a while. I heard it was at least eight times in the past few months," said someone within the Holmdel community, who wanted to stay anonymous. A Holmdel school resource officer was reportedly alerted to the problem, and started quietly monitoring the area every morning after the Holmdel High School track team reported finding human feces and wanted to know who was was pooping either on or near the track and football field
Tramaglini lives in Matawan a few miles away from the fields.
Kenilworth schools announced the news on their Facebook page late Wednesday night.
After his arrest, the superintendent requested to take a paid leave of absence from his $147,504-a-year job. The request was granted. According to state law, a leave can only be unpaid if the superintendent is indicted, or faced with tenured charges.

No one seems to know the why and wherefore behind the bizarre charges.
A court hearing has been scheduled for May 30.
