One of my fondest memories is that of teaching English Literature. There is much to learn and absorb from our literary forefathers. Clearly, the world has little changed when it comes to the human condition. What was then, is now: greed, compassion; miserly, philanthropic; humble, harsh; contemptible, respectable; debased, honorable; vulgar, refined; treacherous, faithful; and on and on it revolves. Yesterday is today. Anatole France once noted, “It is human nature to think wisely and act foolishly.” This needs to be addressed.
Our party is in the throes of upheaval. We are now at a crossroad. Choosing the right leader is so very important to our goals and mission to win elections. Politics is all about supporting and winning elections. Unfortunately, for the most part, our party has been failing, and unless there is a course correction, we will continue to complain but fail to perform. Things must change to move us forward. How?
I am reminded of Tennyson’s poignant and prophetic words, “Ring out the old, ring in the new.” In other words, do a clean sweep. And this is what we must do, to once again become the powerhouse we once were. Electing a leader who not only can inspire but also deliver is the necessary ingredient. In other words, elect a proven leader.
Lawrence Tabas is the clear choice to lead our state party. He is well known and respected throughout our state as well as the entire country. His dedication, legal expertise, profound insight, political experience, both in and out of the courtroom, exemplifies what leadership is all about. Lawrence delivers. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Politics is serious business, and we, who are elected representatives for our party, have an obligation to do what is in the best interest of our state and party. It is time for State Committee members to stand tall. There should be no outside interference, intimidation, or obstruction. We have been down that road before, and look where we are today.
Do the right thing for the right reason.
Lawrence Tabas is the right choice to lead PA to great heights and to recapture the reputation of a party standing shoulder to shoulder, fighting the good fight for all citizens of Pennsylvania.
It is for these reasons, I enthusiastically endorse Lawrence Tabas to be Pennsylvania’s next State Chairman. This is his time and thankfully, he is well up to the task!
