Contextual Background

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently announced that Archbishop Pérez had approved the establishment of a local Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) chapter in Philadelphia.

YCP is a national organization that brings together young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s into a community of encouragement at all stages of their faith journeys. YCP equips them with the tools to live their Catholic faith through everyday work and to perform all work for the glory of God. Currently, YCP has 27 chapters across the country, with four others currently underway.

The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP) recently awarded a $25,000 grant from its Ministry Support Fund to YCP to establish the founding chapter within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
