More Americans would rather live in rural areas or small towns than in cities, and Florida leads the list of states where they’d move if they had the chance.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 18% of American Adults would rather live in Florida if they could move to any other state they wanted. Eleven percent (11%) would prefer California, and 10% would choose New York. Just six percent (6%) say they’d rather live in Pennsylvania and only four percent (4%) pick Illinois. Thirty-seven percent (37%) said they would choose to live in some state other than the six named, which are the most populous U.S. states. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
