Winning Formula: Incentive, Flavorful Local Dining!

We're always on the lookout for exceptional new dining experiences, particularly in the Philadelphia region. And we've found a new one in the nearby, exquisite town of Haddonfield. It's called Gass & Main and the moniker has nothing to do with the name of the owners, petrol or (heaven forbid!) indigestion.

Gass & Main bills itself as a new American BYO by Chef Dane DeMarco, serving seasonal dishes focusing on local and sustainable ingredients with rotating menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch. And the name? Well, Gass & Main gets its name from the cross streets in Las Vegas where the owners were wed.

The vibe includes antique American farm tools handpicked from the wall of Dane’s childhood home. Entrees include funky and elevated plays on traditional fare (think macaroni and cheese, but with truffled gnocchi) in portions that are perfect for sharing. So, you can mix 'n match and put together your own meal however you see fit. Sharing is encouraged. We're showing the menu that was featured a few nights ago when we dined here.

For the four of us, we selected chips and caviar, charm city Brussels sprouts, celery caesar, filet mignon "wit" and good luck pork. Every dish was inventive, flavorful and great fun. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste combinations at this intimate, very personal venue where meals are obviously prepared and presented with great care from a small, open kitchen. What a wonderful new addition this is. Highly recommended!
