Now you can buy a piece of the legendary New York celebrity restaurant, Elaine's.
Everything from the now-shuttered upper east side restaurant as well as the items from owner Elaine Kauffman's co-op will be auctioned off by the auction house of Dyle New York.
Elaine passed away last December 3 of complications from emphysema. Earlier this year the restaurant was shuttered.
There are many notable items up for auction including art work by Andy Warhol and David Hockney, first edition signed copies of books by noted authors, posters that adorned the walls of Elaine's and Elaine's co-op the papier-mâché carousel horse that was in the window of the restaurant for many years, copper pots from the kitchen and the vintage cash register from behind the bar.
Also up for sale will be the prized table number one -- the table (and chairs) that Elaine reserved for her most important guests.
