It's A Bird . . . It's A Plane . . . It's SUPERMAN!

It’s a Bird... It's a Plane... It’s Superman, a pop art–flavored sendup of the comic book world, tells the story of the caped hero’s efforts to protect Metropolis from an array of villains, including a mad scientist, a megalomaniacal gossip columnist and a mysterious clan of under-employed acrobats.
The original 1966 production, directed by Harold Prince and choreographed by Ernest Flatt, starred Jack Cassidy, Bob Holiday and Linda Lavin and Patricia Marand. (Both Cassidy and Marand received Tony nominations for their performances.) Superman features the songs “You’ve Got Possibilities,” “You’ve Got What I Need,” and “The Woman for The Man.”
