Kean Unveils Job Creation, Economic Growth Plan

New Jersey Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean announced that the caucus will be touring the state to unveil a new job creation and economic growth package throughout the next couple of months.

“On behalf of the caucus, I am excited to introduce this new set of bills to create New Jersey jobs and grow the state economy without costing taxpayers extra money,” Kean said. “The Republican caucus looks forward to bringing these solutions into the neighborhoods of employers, entrepreneurs, innovators and working families across the state. I am confident that these innovative ideas will attract bipartisan support and sponsorship quickly to pass this legislation.”

Senator Kean noted that this package of new legislation supplements Senate Republican Solutions to Make New Jersey the Place to Be. He emphasized that the new set of bills will create opportunities by:

· Fostering Innovation

· Lowering Excessive Costs

· Reducing Restrictive Regulations

· Developing New Jersey’s Workforce

· Enhancing Tourism & Agriculture

· Improving New Jersey’s Economic Development Policies & Programs

Senator Kean and the caucus leadership team — Senators Diane Allen, Robert Singer, Jennifer Beck, Joe Pennacchio and Anthony Bucco — are coordinating events with stakeholders around the state to unveil the legislation in each of the above categories. The first such event will be on Friday, October 10, when Senator Kean, Bell Labs President Marcus Weldon and others highlight the new Fostering Innovation legislation at the company’s Murray Hill headquarters.
