Blue Moon Brewing Company is excited to unveil its own twist on an IPA: Blue Moon White IPA.
The beer will debut nationally April 1, but this weekend, Blue Moon will release an exclusive first sip in Philadelphia by way of a partnership with XFINITY Live!
“We’re excited that Philly is one of a handful of cities in the U.S. which will be provided this beer on draft before the national launch,” said Molly Ridgway, local Blue Moon representative. “This town has an amazing beer scene and we know they’ll appreciate a sneak peek at the specialness of Blue Moon White IPA.”
From February 6 through February 8, legal drinking age consumers who attend Xfinity Live!, near the stadiums, can try Blue Moon White IPA, which was brewed to capture the best of both styles: an American IPA and a Belgian-Style Wheat Ale. Blue Moon crafted the White IPA, now attendees will have a chance to craft the glass. Throughout the weekend, fans can tap into their artistic sides with the Blue Moon Paint the Glass program and paint their own custom Blue Moon 20th Anniversary glassware to take home.*
“At Blue Moon, everything we do flows from our artist approach to brewing,” explained Keith Villa, Founder and Head Brewmaster of Blue Moon Brewing Company. “When we brewed an IPA, we wanted it to be different. We started with wheat, orange peel, and coriander; ingredients that originally inspired Blue Moon Belgian White. Then, we searched hop-after-hop through a lot of varieties until we discovered a rare German hop called Huell Melon, which complements the citrus flavors in the beer.”
