Over 35 students in 7th - 12th grades in Delaware County are expected to take part in a day of prayer and community service, which kicks-off at Saint Katharine Drexel Parish in Chester. "Mercy Day" is sponsored by the Archdiocese's Philly Youth and Young Adult Ministry (YYAM).

"Mercy Day" will include prayer, music by Paul Forsythe, and a talk by Father Tom Whittingham, Pastor of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish. The emcee for the event is Zac Moren, Youth Minister at Havertown Youth Ministry, which serves Saint Denis, Annunciation BVM and Sacred Heart Parishes in Delaware County. Additionally, during the all-day event, students will volunteer at work sites including: Saint Katharine Drexel Parish Food Pantry and Missionaries of Charity in Chester, as well as, Aid for Friends and Saint John's Hospice in Philadelphia.
