'Eternal And Indivisible' - The Right Step Now!

The 2016 National Republican Party Platform points out that Israel “is the only country in the Middle East where freedom of speech and freedom of religion are found. Therefore, support for Israel is an expression of Americanism, and it is the responsibility of our government to advance policies that reflect Americans’ strong desire for a relationship with no daylight between America and Israel. We recognize Jerusalem as the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state and call for the American embassy to be moved there in fulfillment of U.S. law.”

President Trump on December 6th announced his plans to move the U. S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to its capital, Jerusalem. President Trump expressed his hope that this move, which responds to instructions from the U.S. Congress in 1995, will be the catalyst for enduring peace in the region. As he indicated, nothing else has worked over all these years.

The President also referenced the innate, universal yearning in all hearts everywhere for peace. As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote in his final stanza of “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”:

“Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor does He sleep
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, goodwill to men.”

Eagle Forum applauds the President’s desire for the right to prevail and peace to be experienced. It is our continuing prayer that God will direct our President and “all those in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty”. I Tim 2:2
