Yes, It Will Be Live And It Will Be Beautiful!

Blessed Trinity Regional Catholic School in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia will hold its fourth annual live nativity in front of the school convent on Levick Street. It will feature a camel, baby yak, donkey, sheep, and goats. In addition, school students will depict the scene of Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.

Immediately prior to the live nativity presentation, Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. in Saint Timothy Church to mark the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception a Holy Day of Obligation in the Church as well as the parish’s 90th anniversary.

Father Michael Olivere, Pastor of Saint Timothy Parish, will be the principal celebrant and homilist of Mass and will greet those in attendance. He will also lead the assembly in an opening prayer during the live nativity.

During the fourth annual live nativity, approximately 25 student ambassadors and choir members will sing Christmas Carols and perform a nativity scene with parents acting as Mary and Joseph. A newborn parishioner will play baby Jesus.
