A Louisiana man was arrested Wednesday with hundreds of dollars in stolen meat, some of it stuffed down his pants.
According to news reports, deputies were called when grocery store employees noticed the man leaving empty-handed but then coming back into the store again. They were justifiably suspicious.
The workers were gave a description of the suspect's vehicle, and police later pulled the guy over and found packs of ground beef and ribeye steaks in his car.
He now faces felony theft charges and allegedly had multiple previous theft convictions.
Authorities say the merchandise was returned to the stores. Still, the meat cannot be put back on sale, and will have to be destroyed.
