It's rare.
We don't often get San Francisco weather in Philadelphia.
But that's precisely what's happening now.
The mornings are cool and often foggy. We were covered in fog this morning.
The days are partly cloudy (mostly sunny, today) and breezy with highs in the high 5os or mid 60s -- sometimes as high as 70.
The evenings are cool again -- and sometimes downright chilly with temperatures dropping into the mid 40s.
The only thing I can compare it to is San Francisco. And it's really quite delightful.
Of course, we don't have the steep hills, the beautiful bay and the picture-postcard charm. But we have had an earthquake and both of our baseball teams are former World Champions who've lately come up short. Plus, Philly can rival San Francisco for great eating and interesting neighborhoods.
And both cities have their share of kooks. But we'll leave that for another time.
For now, we'll simply enjoy the lovely San Francisco weather.
