Did Michelle Really Spend $50,000 On Lingerie?
WHILE PRICES CLIMB, HOME VALUES DROP, THE POVERTY RATE SOARS AND MILLIONS SEARCH FOR JOBS: Britain's Telegraph and other sources say that First Lady Michelle Obama conducted an estimated $50,000 lingerie shopping fest at NYC's chic Agent Provocateur. Reportedly, the First Lady closed off Madison Avenue to go on a shopping spree with the Queen of Qatar. Zillions on elaborate vacations, $2,000 for a dress, $1,000 for a skirt, tens of thousands in lingerie, unprecedented amounts on showy White House parties -- all this during an ever-lingering recession.

And yet the Romneys could spend untold cash on anything they want and never, ever be subject to criticism.
STARK REMINDER; We're talking about the President of the United States and the First Lady here.
She's just pumping dollars back into the economy. With the rate of personal savings going up, she's enjoying her own "shopping more" moment; the only difference being that she's putting her money where her mouth is.
And the First Lady also shopped at Target. Did we see praise for her then? Of course not. Because there's nothing but good that comes from approved GOPers, and nothing but bad from anyone else.
(Case in point: if Newt, Obama or anyone else not named Christie or Romney said they were "not worried about the poorest" people, we'd see ample criticism.)
Will Mittens and his family suddenly become Dollar Express shoppers when they move to the White House? Doubtful. Will he sell his lavish house as a way of acknowledging that the President and First Lady should not be living large?
Other than taking a completely irrelevant pot shot, what difference does it make how she spends her money. Answer: it doesn't.
