Running With The Santas - A Curious C'mas Event
Here is some video from the recent Philadelphia version of Running With The Santas in which (mostly) young people dress up as Santa, Mrs. Santa, elves or whatever and run through the streets (or walk or jog or get carried or dragged) either before or after they've roamed from bar to bar.
Soon enough they're buzzed or downright drunk.
The event takes place in other cities as well, usually in the weeks leading up to Christmas. We've seen these Santas in New York and Boston but that hardly covers the territory. We're guessing it's a national trend by now.
We don't know exactly why or how all this got started.
Seems it's just another excuse to get fully lubricated. Gulp-a-rama.
