Yo! Steaks Are Half-Buck Apiece Tomorrow At Geno's

Nationally-famous Geno’s Steaks, 1219 S. Ninth St. in South Philly, will mark its 47th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 10 by providing steaks — one per person — for 50 cents from noon to 2 p.m.

“Celebrating this milestone with 50-cent cheesesteaks is the perfect way to thank our loyal customers for their ongoing support,” Geno Vento, the eatery’s president and owner, said.

Geno's will also hold a raffle which will benefit American Association for Cancer Research.

“Vento says he plans "on shaking things up a bit as the new owner of Geno’s Steaks.” Geno, whose father Joey Vento started the shop did add that “I do plan on upholding my Father’s rich tradition of giving back to the community.”
