What Is America To Me? Here's The Answer . . .



The House I Live In was a short film made in 1945 at the end of World War II to promote racial tolerance starring Frank Sinatra. It received an Honorary Academy Award and a special Golden Globe award in 1946. 
Sinatra sang the title song which was written by Earl Robinson & Abel Meeropol (Lewis Allan). "The House I Live In " was recorded by Columbia on November 14, 1944 in New York, arranged and conducted by Axel Stordahl. The song can be found on the Columbia CD box set, The Best of the Columbia Years, 1943-1952 and The Columbia Years 1943 -- 1952: The Complete Recordings: 12 CD Box Set.
