Revealed: A Magical (And Secret) Grand Retreat!

Once upon a time, in the hills just above Monterey Bay on California's central coast, movie stars, kings, queens, CEO's and US presidents were welcomed to a world of unparalleled luxury -- a grand, perfectly manicured, rich, vast resort known as the Hotel Del Monte.
The hotel played host to Charles Lindbergh, Teddy Roosevelt and Ernest Hemingway, among many others. The property extends south and southeast of the hotel and once included gardens, parkland, polo grounds, a race track, and a golf course.
The hotel is still open. But today, you can't simply drive up to this grand edifice and check in. That's because the hotel and all the surrounding grounds and buildings are the restricted and heavily-guarded property of the US Navy and its postgraduate college.
But we managed to find our way to and inside the Del Monte and we present it here for you to experience in all its grandeur. Enjoy!
