The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is sponsoring an eleven day pilgrimage to the Holy Land. It will be led by Reverend G. Dennis Gill, Director of the Office for Divine Worship and Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and feature stops at several towns and shrines throughout Israel.
Highlights include a tour of the sea and shores of the Galilee; the Church of Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes; a visit to Jesus’ birthplace in Bethlehem; a tour of Nazareth and Cana; the Dead Sea; a stop for the Renewal of Baptismal Promises at Qasr Al Yehoud, the place of Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist in the River Jordan; a tour through Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives; a stop at the Wailing Wall; and Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site where Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose.
Pilgrims will leave Philadelphia Thursday, February 1st, 2018 and return Sunday, February 11th, 2018.
Registration for this pilgrimage is due by October 17, 2017.
