Dan Weber, founder and CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), is calling on Republican Senators to do what they have long promised their constituents: repeal Obamacare. If they fail to do so on, he is warning, they will soon face electoral consequences.
Mr. Weber said in a statement:
“Americans have been victimized by the Affordable Care Act. We now have loss of coverage, huge rate increases, higher deductibles, and tax penalties. And the worst is yet to come with state exchanges at risk of imploding and millions of people scrambling to be covered or risk having no insurance at all.
“With the redistribution of income and the dramatic expansion of government, Obamacare is part of the progressive assault on America’s economy. It is a war of socialism on free enterprise. Just this Sunday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, ‘Single payer health care is on the table.’ If the GOP can’t pass Obamacare repeal, the Democrats will work to make Obamacare more burdensome on private companies.
“President Trump was elected and the GOP secured control of both the House and the Senate because conservatives promised repeal of Obamacare. It’s that simple. The American people in 2016 decided we wanted to get rid of government’s growing control over our medical care, our businesses, our money, and our choices. GOP Senators owe it to their constituents to follow through.”
For more information on AMAC: Dan Weber is the CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the largest conservative due-paying member association in the United States with a membership of over one million seniors. Weber founded the organization in 2007 as an alternative to AARP.
