New Jersey Governor Chris Christie released the following statement on the House DOT appropriations bill providing federal funding for the Gateway project:
"The House DOT bill, allocating $900m in federal funds for the beginning of the Gateway project, is a triumph for our region. Only through the leadership of Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen is this type of congressional commitment possible. On behalf of all the people of New Jersey, I thank Congressman Frelinghuysen for his bold leadership for our transportation future. I urge Senators Schumer, Menendez, Gillibrand and Booker to match the commitment of Congressman Frelinghuysen in the United States Senate."
