Villanova Fans Take Over Xfinity Live! Saturday

Villanova fans will showcase their team spirit during Winter Jam festivities at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia on Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to Villanova tipping off against St. John’s at Wells Fargo Center during an afternoon showdown at 1:30 p.m.

Members of Villanova’s spirit squad including team cheerleaders, student band, and dance team will be on hand to get the crowd ready for the game. Villanova Men's Basketball Head Coach Jay Wright and team captains will address the crowd at 12:15 p.m.

All in attendance can showcase their skills by participating in inflatable games and contests throughout the day. Family-friendly activities include corn-hole tournaments and Pop-A-Shot competitions. An award will be given to the best dressed fan.

Admission to Winter Jam is free of charge.

XFINITY Live! Philadelphia is a dining and entertainment district centered in the heart of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The one-of-a-kind venue features over a dozen restaurant and entertainment choices, including six main venues: Broad Street Bullies Pub, PBR Bar & Grill (Professional Bull Riders), Philly MarketPlace, Spectrum Grill, Victory Beer Hall and the first-ever NBC Sports Arena. XFINITY Live! is a joint partnership between Philadelphia-based Comcast-Spectacor and Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies.

About Dan Cirucci

He's Dan Cirucci, the founder and editor-in chief of the Dan Cirucci Blog, Matt Rooney's sidekick on Save Jersey's videocasts and one of the most widely honored public relations professionals in his field. Cirucci served as Associate Executive Director of the Philadelphia Bar Association for nearly 30 years. He served as Chair of Penn State University's Professional Advisory Board for the Corporate Communication major at Penn State Abington and on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Judicial Selection Commission.

He received his MA degree from Rowan University and his BA from Villanova University. He has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rowan's public relations program and received the E. A. "Wally" Richter Leadership Award, the highest honor from the National Association of Bar Executives' Communications Section. He has also been honored by numerous other local, state and national groups.

In his hometown of Camden, Cirucci taught fifth grade at the Ulysses Wiggins Elementary School named for the founder of the Camden NAACP. There he was one of the first teachers in the country to teach African-American history to inner city students. He later served as editor of a local weekly newspaper, as Assistant to the Township Manager of Cherry Hill Township and as Associate Director of Communications at the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Cirucci's passions include politics, the popular culture, books and authors, art, communication, music, theatre, movies, dining and travel.
