Hilton Head is beautiful every time of year.
And in late autumn and early winter it takes on an air of tranquility that envelopes you in an enchanting, natural wonderland.
A walk through the Newhall Audubon Preserve or the spacious Forest Preserve in Sea Pines will yield a harmonious mix of greens, blues and tans with surprising dashes of yellows, oranges and even violets.
And you will see a wide variety of wildlife as well, both on the land and in the ponds and lakes.
Above all, the serenity will set you free.
It's a very special time of year on this blessed island. If you ever get a chance to experience it, don;t pass it up. It's heaven!
