President-elect Donald J. Trump today spoke with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Readouts of the calls are below:

President-elect Trump also noted that he is looking forward to a lasting and strong personal relationship with Prime Minister Sharif.

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev offered his congratulations to President-elect Trump today on his historic presidential win, and President-elect Trump congratulated President Nazarbayev on his country’s 25th anniversary. The two leaders also addressed the importance of strengthening regional partnerships.
