Be on alert, friends: We hear that New Jersey police will be looking for drivers who are texting, talking on their cell phones or engaging in other forms of distracted driving for the next three weeks.You got that right. In fact, we're told that nearly 200 different law enforcement agencies will have extra patrols who will be on the alert for drivers who are texting or talking on cell phones without a hands-free device.
The whole effort began yesterday and will run through April 21.
It's all a part of the national U Drive. U Text. U Pay enforcement campaign. Watch out!
