They're Ready To Support Stronger Action, NOW!

Voters here strongly believe world leaders need to confront North Korea with military force if necessary to end the rogue communist nation’s push for nuclear weapons. But a growing number say the United States should go it alone if necessary.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 75% of Likely U.S. Voters think the United Nations and the international community should do more – up to and including military action – to prevent North Korea’s further development of nuclear weapons. That’s up from 57% in January of last year. Just 11% disagree, while 14% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on July 5, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
