We thought we'd share with you some of the truly wonderful dishes we enjoyed during our recent trip to Napa and Sanoma.
At the outset, let us stress that's it's almost impossible to get a bad meal in California wine country. Fine wines and good food just naturally go together and any oenophile will tell you that wine is meant to be enjoyed with food. In fact, the sugars and acids and other flavors found in most foods enhance the taste of the wine. It's a match made in heaven!
So, here are the dishes (shown, from top): chicken mandarin salad; chilled gazpacho soup; swordfish with lobster and potatoes; profiteroles; French pastries; different flavors of salt that we tasted; prosecco; calamari; Neapolitan pizza; fehttuchini Bolognese: garden salad of bitter greens; clambake with clams, lobster, shrimp and potatoes; cheesecake with fresh berries in cups;  icy cold Caesar salad; spaghetti marinara; Cobb salad; world famous In 'n Out burgers and fries; chicken, fried egg and potatoes and, finally salad with warm chicken breast.
The restaurants are identified under each set of photos. All wonderful!
