A Silly, Sultry Love Affair That Knows No Bounds!

Long before Barack Obama ruled the media like an imperial press lord, the Dan Cirucci Blog nailed it when we identified the media's stupefying infatuation with the man who Oprah Winfrey came to refer to as "The One". Of course, we didn't know that the love affair with OH!bama would last an entire decade and still be going strong.
Anyway, here's what we wrote on January 7, 2008:

The media are gaga over Barack.
On the TV talkfests this morning the praise and adulation flowed like hot buttah.
Rotund Tim Russert declared Obama captivating and said the Clinton campaign is in emergency mode. BlabberinoMan Chris Matthews said Barack "is giving the best speeches any of us have ever heard." FibberinoMcGee Mike Barnacle said Barack was presiding over "The death of cynicism" and added: "There are people coming to listen to him and they have tears in their eyes. They are crying." And Self-Promoting Pollster Frank Luntz said that the emergence of Obama "Isn't just about the future; it is the future."
One of the morning shows even wired the heads of New Hampshire's undecided voters to measure brain waves and found - you guessed it - no hesitancy to vote for Barack.
OK. It's over. What the hell . . .
Let's just cancel all the remaining primaries and general election and coronate this guy.

About Dan Cirucci

He served as Chair of Penn State University's Professional Advisory Board for the Corporate Communication major at Penn State Abington and on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Judicial Selection Commission.

He received his MA degree from Rowan University and his BA from Villanova University. He has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rowan's public relations program and received the E. A. "Wally" Richter Leadership Award, the highest honor from the National Association of Bar Executives' Communications Section. He has also been honored by numerous other local, state and national groups.

In his hometown of Camden, Cirucci taught fifth grade at the Ulysses Wiggins Elementary School named for the founder of the Camden NAACP. There he was one of the first teachers in the country to teach African-American history to inner city students. He later served as editor of a local weekly newspaper, as Assistant to the Township Manager of Cherry Hill Township and as Associate Director of Communications at the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Cirucci's passions include politics, the popular culture, books and authors, art, communication, music, theatre, movies, dining and travel.
