Unsettling Video: Boy Actually 'Prays' To Obama

We've seen it in North Korea.
We've seen it in Mao's China.
We've seen it in Stalin's Russia.
And you know where else we've seen it.
This kind of mindless hero worship (beginning with the blatant indoctrination of children) is dangerous.
The idea that a little child would "pray" to a mere mortal and "worship" him this way is unsettling, to say the least.
The abandonment of free thought; of the ability to criticize our leaders; of the willingness to challenge authority or to even make a joke about our leaders is the beginning of totalitarianism.
We've apparently reached a point in this country where we dare not think or say certain things for fear of reprisals. And that seems to be just fine for far too many people -- including most members of the news media.
When people don't know or don't even want to know what's really happening; when facts and logic hold no interest for them; when free, level-headed, independent thought is met with a preemptory chill and replaced by feelings, runaway emotion, blind loyalty and even adoration -- well, that's what we call s-c-a-r-y!
