How She's Making A Difference In Lives Of Others!

Sister Cathy McGowan, SSJ, principal of Drexel Neumann Academy (DNA) was named by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) to be one of its recipients of the “Leadership. Learn. Inspire” Award.  This national award is presented to educators who have made outstanding efforts, contributions, and achievements on behalf of Catholic school education.  Sister Cathy is the founding principal of DNA.  Her dedication to the children of the City of Chester and Catholic education has been instrumental in the success of current students and past graduates.

Sister is one of only 30 educators in the country to be recognized in this fashion.  The award was bestowed at the recent NCEA conference in San Diego.

Drexel Neumann Academy is a Catholic school located in Chester, Pennsylvania.   Drexel Neumann Academy is co-sponsored by Neumann University, Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and the Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia.
