Where Grandiosity And Cultured Gentility Coexist

Vienna
Vienna is Old World, all the way.
It's a city of cultured gentility where everything classic really is classic, including the music, the cultivated charm and the gracious manners.
Vienna is the city of Schonberg, Strauss and Schubert. It's a city of symphonies, arias, marches and waltzes.
Vienna also gave us Sigmund Freud, Billy Wilder, Simon Wiesenthal, Fritz Lang, Fred Zimmerman, Hedy Lamar and Theodor Herzel. They all fled Austria before or during the Nazi persecution of the Jews. Because sadly, this is also the city that famously cheered on Hitler as he annexed the whole country.
Today, Vienna is an international traveler's haven -- one of world "must see" cities. Vienna is the city of sweet, scrumptious pastries and some of the most heavenly Weiner schnitzel you will ever devour.
It's a city of majestic spires, grand hotels, inspiring monuments, busy promenades, ship shape sidewalks, an incredibly clean and efficient transportation system and a surprising juxtaposition of old and new. In Vienna, you can be immersed in the hustle and bustle of the city one minute and then hidden away in a quiet courtyard the next.
Like a grand opera diva, Vienna caries it all on its shoulders -- its history, its culture, its innate grandiosity and the solitude that it keeps in its vest pocket and offers you as a respite when you least expect it.
This is Vienna!
