The city of Krakow is unquestionably one of the most beautiful places in Europe.
This city is not only the place where John Paul the Great cut his teeth as a priest, bishop and cardinal but it is also a city steeped in the tradition of and reverence for the Catholic Church.
Here you can see where John Paul lived, where he served as a parish priest and where he celebrated mass as a prince of the Church.
This city is truly Old Europe and you can experience all of that as you enter its grand market square, relax in its parks, stroll along the river bank or wind your way through its narrow streets. Then, look up the hill to the fortress-like castle and the church. Spectacular!
But this is also a young city as it is home to a great university. One out of every five people in Krakow is a young student. So, the city is throbbing with life and vitality, inquisitiveness and exuberance.
We so enjoyed our visit to Krakow and will cherish the memories!
