PARTY SWITCHER  Flanked by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Texas State Rep. Ryan Guillen announced that he is joining the Republican Party. “Friends, something is happening in South Texas, and many of us are waking up to the fact that the values of those in Washington, D.C., are not our values, not the values of most Texans,” said Guillen. “The ideology of defunding the police, of destroying the oil and gas industry and the chaos at our border is disastrous for those of us who live here in South Texas.”  READ
 
 
GOP REBUKES CHENEY  The Wyoming Republican Party voted Saturday 31-29 to cease recognizing Rep. Liz Cheney, R-WY, as a member of the Republican Party. Cheney has been a constant critic of former President Donald Trump, irking conservatives. Cheyenne attorney Harriet Hageman, whom Trump has endorsed, is running to unseat Cheney in 2022. Hageman called the Saturday vote "fitting.”  READ
