Now we're being treated to a number from the musical, Matilda.
We haven't seen this show -- yet.
A lot of young British school kids. High energy. But it sounds more like they're simply shouting than singing.
Something about "We'll be revolting children." We'll, aren;t most children revolting? Ooops . . . forget we said that.
The second number -- something about being a grownup -- is significantly more melodic and quite appealing.
BTW: We've never been crazy about Hollywood stars interjecting themselves into the Tonys but we understand that Broadway needs to create buzz and the stars (via their agents) often seek the exposure -- whether they're willing to admit it or not.
Simple economics: Stars sell tickets.
