It appears as if The Philly Pops (or the esteemed musicians of that group) are now the No Name Pops. This is the Pops successor to the branded group that ran into financial trouble and lost its right to perform at the city's concert hall, The Kimmel Center. Whatever . . . The important thing here is that the No Name Pops is presenting a high-spirited Christmas show called A Very Philly Christmas all this month at the Kimmel. We attended a performance of the show and we can tell you it's top-notch with the pops orchestra, a huge chorus, singers, dancers, a genial conductor and lots of delightful surprises.
