Trump: Done Deal! Iran/US Agreement 'Complete!'

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!

This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me. The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace. With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!

An Important Announcement From President Trump

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Barack Hussein Obama’s Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now. My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL. Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had. Unlike Obama’s Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in payments to them, including 1.7 Billion Dollars in green, cold cash, no money will exchange hands. At the appropriate time, when all is calm, we will go in and get the Nuclear Dust, buried deep under the powerful sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and downblend and destroy it, whether in Iran, or the United States. We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future. Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again! Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP

President Trump: 'IF I Make A Deal' . . .

The Very Latest On That Iran Deal . . .

A special report from Scott Jennings via X:

After receiving a briefing from a Senior TRUMP Administration Official [SAO] on the status of the Iran negotiations (someone in the know & not just speculating), I can tell you the following: -USA IS NOT GIVING IRANIANS MONEY FOR NOTHING. All speculation and propaganda to the contrary is false. Some hardline elements of Iran’s govt (IRGC) have pushed fake stories & propaganda to try to kill this negotiation. -Iran deal is NOT done (95%, but still haggling over some language). No deal being signed today. May be a few more days before this is done. -Iran will NOT get any money or sanctions relief up front. -Iran must turn over nuclear stockpile to get anything. USA position is that failure to meet deal commitments means Iran gets nothing. -Long term USA objective is preventing Iran from having nuclear weapon. -Initial deal point is to re-establish free flow of commerce by reopening Strait of Hormuz. Deal should have 2 phases: Step 1 - Open Strait of Hormuz. Give world economy breathing room. Iran agrees to give up enriched uranium. Step 2 - Get the nuclear material turned over. Only then can Iran get sanctions relief. Bottom line: goal is to make a deal that lowers costs for Americans, calms world energy markets, and guarantees that Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon over the long term. We aren’t there yet. Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things. But we are close although it still could be a few days. “If we get what we are demanding, this is going to be a historic deal,” SAO says. SAO sounds prepared to do no deal at all if all Iran will do is a “bad deal.” SAO admits deal could fall apart yet. But if a deal is reached, SAO expects very senior USA admin officials to take part in a signing ceremony of some sort. Iran has agreed in principle to the framework but there are still a couple points USA isn’t satisfied with. 95% done. But literally changing words sometimes requires days in Iran’s system. Haggling over language. But USA feels like we have a commitment on nuclear stockpile and on opening Strait of Hormuz. If IRAN doesn’t deliver on commitments, they get nothing. “Iran’s ability to project power is a lot more limited than it was two months ago,” SAO says. “Their industrial base for building ballistic missiles has been substantially destroyed.”

Rubio Briefed Pope On Grave Threat Of Iran

Secretary of State 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐨 reported that he has 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. This is a step that signals the Trump administration is actively working to bring the Holy See into the sphere of alignment with the dominant allied position on Iran and the threat of radical Islam.

Pope VS POTUS, The Catholic League Speaks Out

Excerpts, from Bill Donohue of the highly respected Catholic League:

Pope Leo’s desire for peace is understandable. Less understandable was his sweeping statement on March 1 claiming that peace is achieved “only” through “dialogue.” That is simply not true. Historically, war has frequently resulted in peace, an outcome that comes about when dialogue fails. That is why the Catholic Church is not a pacifist religion—it understands the necessity of “just wars.”

Trump’s comment that the pope is weak on crime is no doubt in reference to the pontiff’s criticisms of mass deportations. The U.S. bishops have also been vocal in denouncing the Trump administration on this issue. Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, recently said that “it’s very clear the American people are saying, ‘We really didn’t vote for this.’”

In fact, the American people did vote for mass deportations: Trump made this one of his key issues. Moreover, virtually every survey taken on this subject reveals that a majority of Americans approve mass deportations. They do so because they oppose the Biden policy of deliberately allowing 20 million illegal aliens to crash our borders, about which Catholics—55 percent of whom voted for Trump—heard very little from their leaders, either in Rome or at home.

Pope Leo XIV has not openly rejected the “just war” doctrine, but recent comments he made about the conflict in Iran come close.
On Easter Sunday, Pope Leo XIV called for all nations to lay down their arms and choose negotiation. On March 1, he went further, saying about the Middle East, “Stability and peace are not achieved through mutual threats, nor through the use of weapons, which sow destruction, suffering, and death, but only through reasonable, sincere, and responsible dialogue.” That comment drew the ire of Wall Street Journal columnist Bill McGurn.

McGurn took strong issue with the word “only.” He is, of course, right. Countless wars have resulted in peace. In fairness, the pope was not speaking from a traditional mantle of authority—it was a tweet. No matter, he left himself open for rebuke. It also needs to be said that there are those who wage war on innocents and explicitly reject dialogue. What then? There are times when we can’t talk our way out of a confrontation.

From Lifelong Catholic Bill O'Reilly . . .

America Takes Lead On Energy Production, Security!

President Donald J. Trump has directed a bold and decisive U.S. naval blockade to counter Iranian aggression and restore safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz — a masterstroke of American leadership that showcases a level of power and strength the world has never before witnessed.

As this historic action unfolds, America’s record-breaking energy production is providing a critical lifeline to the world. Thanks to President Trump’s American energy dominance agenda, the U.S. stands as the world’s top energy producer and exporter — ready to supply reliable, abundant energy to nations cut off from Middle Eastern crude.

Signs of American energy leadership are immediate:
  • As of yesterday, 167 crude tankers had declared U.S. destinations, with 103 empty vessels heading to American ports to load U.S. crude.

  • Of those, 54 were Very Large Crude Carriers, each capable of carrying approximately two million barrels.

  • Many had recently unloaded elsewhere and are now steaming to the Gulf of America — including 20 empty tankers under European flags and 20 under Asian flags.
After just one year back in office, President Trump’s pro-energy policies have shattered records and secured America’s position as the undisputed global energy leader:
  • U.S. natural gas production hit a record 118.5 billion cubic feet per day, with new record highs forecasted in both 2026 and 2027.

  • America became the first nation in history to export more than 100 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in a single year — reversing years of Biden-era restrictions.

  • Oil production reached an all-time high of 23.6 million barrels per day.

  • U.S. offshore oil production also set a new record.

  • The Trump Administration opened vast new areas for oil, gas, and coal development, approved nearly 6,000 drilling permits on federal and Native American lands (a 55% increase over the prior year), and advanced multiple new LNG export terminals.

  • Today, the United States produces more oil than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined and more natural gas than Russia, Iran, and China combined—securing its role as the undisputed global energy leader.

President Trump’s energy dominance agenda is more than policy; it is American strength. While adversaries weaponize energy, America delivers it.

Pope VS POTUS: Did Vatican Set Collision Course?

Maybe we should have known when Cardinal Robert Prevost was chosen to helm the Catholic Church nearly a year ago.

Maybe we should have detected  a clear signal of this papacy's direction when the new Pope chose the name Leo, after Pope Leo XIII who styled himself an early champion of Catholic social justice. And maybe we should have seen what was quite clearly evident -- that this new man, though American, was in the mold of Pope Francis, was a portegê of his and came from the same South American missionary background.

But this was an American Pope -- the first ever -- and we were dazzled!

My goodness, he grew up near the middle of America, near Chicago and graduated from Villanova University right here in the Philly suburbs. "He's one of us," we told ouselves. "We'll have a real friend in the Vatican -- a friend in charge of the whole Church." That's what many of us thought.

And President Trump felt the same way. In fact, Trump described the election of Pope Leo as "such a great honor for our country to have an American pope" and added that he was "very happy" about it, calling it "absolutely great."

Things seemed cordial and most people expected Pope Leo to ease into his role, and like most of his predecessors, give everyone time to assess the transition and begin to understand where the Church might be heded.

It was not to be. Leo had other ideas and he began to speak out on a variety of issues, sometimes seemingly off the cuff, often in English and even while holding spontaneous media availabilities and news conferences. It was unparalleled. Let's racap:

  • May 2025: Pope Leo XIV is appointed, immediately setting a different tone than his predecessor, taking a more direct stance on US policies. Shortly thereafter, he urges U.S. bishops to back him up and speak with a unified voice on immigration, leading to a near-unanimous message against mass deportations
  • May 13, 2025: After it's revealed that Pope Leo's brother, Louis, a Florida resident is politically conservative and a supporter of President Trump who has voiced his support in social media posts, Louis at first defends his posts. But he's reportedly "made aware of the need for  reduced public comment on sensitive issues" and quickly backs away.
  • Nov. 5, 2025: Pope Leo calls U.S. immigration raids in Minnesota "inhuman" and demands "deep reflection" from the Trump administration on its handling of migrants.
  • November 12, 2025: responding to the Pope's calls the US Conference of Catholic Bishops issues a "Special Message" condemning the Trump's Administration's deportation of illegals and opposing what it calls "the indiscriminate mass deportation of people."
  • Jan. 9, 2026: Pope Leo condemns the Trump administration's actions in Venezuela following the Jan. 3 capture of President Nicolás Maduro by U.S. Forces, calling it a "diplomacy of force". The Pope once again encourage further action from the Cardinals.
  • Feb. 18, 2026: The Vatican officially declines to join the Trump-proposed "Board of Peace" in Gaza, signalling a diplomatic rift.
  • Feb. 2026Pope Leo XIV declines an invitation from Vice President JD Vance to attend the U.S. 250th-anniversary celebration on July 4, 2026, with the Vatican confirming he will not visit the U.S. that year. The Pope instead plans to visit Lampedusa, Italy, focusing on migrant issues
  • March 15, 2026: Pope Leo calls for a ceasefire in the US-Israel-Iran conflict, indirectly criticizing the escalation of violence.
  • March 29, 2026 (Palm Sunday): Pope Leo intensifies criticism, describing the war in Iran as a "spiral of violence" driven by the administration. He states that God does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, emphasizing that such leaders have "hands full of blood"
  • April 7, 2026: Following intensification of the US/Israel conflict with Iran, Pope Leo labels US threats against the radical Islamic state "truly unacceptable".
  • April 9, 2026: In a move that raises eyebrows, Pope Leo meets privately with favid Axelrod, a liberal Democrat Jewish American and Fellow Chicagoan. Axelrod is a close advisor to former President Barack Obama and Obama's former Chief of Staff. The meeting reportedly discusses a possible future meeting between Obama and the Pope and the session extends longer than planned as the Pope keeps Italian Olympians waiting.
  • April 12, 2026: In an unprecedented move, a group of three US Cardinals goes on the CBS TV program "60 Minutes" to further lambast Trump, calling the Iran war "a war of choice" and "not a just war". They also again voice opposition to the deportation of illegal immigrants referring to a "crackdowns on immigration."
Mind you, this is not a complete list of every criticism, every jab and every salvo that this Pope and his Cardinals have leveled at the US and the Trump Administration.

The drumbeat has been quite steady, right from the start. And the Pope's pronouncements have been so intense and so sweeping that, we note again that at one point, he incredibly declared that "Jesus does not listen to prayers of those who wage war."

After remaining largely silent on the ongoing criticism from the Pope, the Cardinals and the Bishops, yesterday, President Trump responded and, to no one's surprise, he responded forcefully and directly.

Some would even suggest the response was long overdue.

Bottom line: You can't step into the political arena using your platform as Pope, Cardinal or Bishop and then complain (or attempt to shield yourself  under your mitre) when you get political pushback.  Or, as Barack Obama once said: "If you enter the arena, you should expect to get roughed up."

Quick Summary Of Message From The President

"Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!" "Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz." "At some point, we will reach an “ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT” basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, “There may be a mine out there somewhere,” that nobody knows about but them." "I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran." "No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits." "The Blockade will begin shortly. Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade. Iran will not be allowed to profit off this Illegal Act of EXTORTION. They want money and, more importantly, they want Nuclear. Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully 'LOCKED AND LOADED,' and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!"

BREAKING: A Message From President Trump . . .

Avatar

@realDonaldTrump

Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
