NJ DemocRAT Mob Specializes In Vaporization

The New Jersey Democrat Party is like a mob that simply mows down anyone who gets in its way -- or simply anyone who doesn't fit the party narrative at any given time. Doesn't matter that you may be an elected official. Democracy be damned!

And the party, like the mob itself, is particularly adept at eliminating its own. In fact, the old Communist Politburo comes to mind as well, especially since the latest victim of the party's wrath was apparently forced to attend "re-education" classes.

Don't believe me? Look at the record and the ongoing list of casualties: 

2002: Senator Bob Torricelli. Forced out by the Dems in the middle of a re-election campaign over campaign financing questions. Dems loved him until they loathed him. Quickly replaced by former Senator Frank Lautenberg and rarely heard from since.

2004: Governor Jim McGreevey: Dems' BoyWinder was forced to resign amidst blackmail threats and a messy sex scandal  Exiled to Joizee City and replaced by Acting Governor Dick Codey.

The minute waltz!

2005: Dick Codey: New Jersey's affable interim governor saved the party after the McGreevey debacle and proved popular. But money talks and though Codey wanted to run for a full term, he was conveniently brushed aside in favor of the heavily bankrolled Jon Corzine. That's gratitude for ya!

2026: Dale Caldwell: Not even a full year into his term as Lieutenant Governor, Caldwell is effectively vaporized in less than 24 hours. Dumped amidst sexual harassment allegations, he's abandoned by Governor Mikie Sherrill and stabbed in the back by fellow African-American Corey Booker and bleeding heart Andy Kim. 

Mind you, none of those mentioned above were ever actually accused of any crime or prosecuted.

But, poof! They're gone -- vaporized quicker that you can say Abracadabra! 

The Democrat Party of New Jersey obviously regards itself as invincible and answerable to -- no one! And can you blame them? They manage to get away with this stuff over and over again as the voters keep buying their garbage.

Doesn't matter who you are. They'll kiss you today and krush you tomorrow. Because if they want you gone, you're history.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass . . . 

Bucco: If Caldwell Doesn't Resign, Legis Must Act

New Jersey Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-Morris, Passaic) released the following statement regarding the recent news on the investigation into Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Dale Caldwell:

“It is deeply disappointing that today’s report has confirmed and substantiated the ethics complaints and harassment allegations against Lt. Gov. Caldwell. This situation has gone on for far too long, and if he doesn’t agree to resign, the Legislature should follow the necessary protocols to resolve this matter once and for all.

“For Caldwell to serve as acting governor 18 times while these serious allegations were under investigation is disturbing and exactly why I said from the beginning that he should have stepped aside while the facts were being examined.

“The offices of Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State carry significant responsibilities, particularly with an election less than two months away. Now, more than ever, especially in the wake of the Democrats’ voter fraud scandal that revealed thousands of noncitizens unlawfully registered to vote, New Jerseyans need a Secretary of State who will remain laser-focused on restoring election integrity.

“Perhaps we should reexamine the position of Lieutenant Governor and the substantial cost that goes along with the office altogether. Regardless, this matter must be brought to a conclusion so these critical offices can get back to doing the work New Jerseyans expect them to do.”

NJ GOP Caldwell Must Go, But This ISN'T OVER!

A statement from the New Jersey Republican Party:

We called it first, almost three weeks ago. Tonight, Sherrill finally caught up. A 61-page investigation now confirms what her administration spent weeks refusing to address: Dale Caldwell sexually harassed a staffer and violated state ethics rules. It's the same Democrat playbook we saw with non-citizens on the rolls: call us names, melt down, then admit we were right. Caldwell must resign. But this doesn't end with him. Sherrill's own team warned Caldwell about his conduct toward women back in March, and the misconduct continued. Yet she kept New Jerseyans in the dark and left him in charge of the state at least 18 times so she could go off campaigning. The Governor must be held to account and owes New Jersey an explanation. Integrity and accountability should be 24/7, not just when it's politically convenient.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill is calling for the resignation of Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell following an independent investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior.

In a statement released Thursday night, Sherrill said the investigation found that Caldwell “engaged in serious, repeated violations of state policy and failed to uphold the responsibilities of his office.”

“I’m calling for his resignation and giving him until tomorrow to do so,” Sherrill said.

Christie, Trump, Jersey, America And The NJ GOP

Here's a commentary by Matt Rooney of Save Jersey about Chris Christie and the New Jersey Republican Party, written on the eve of the recent NJ GOP Leadership Summit in Atlantic City:

Chris Christie is back, Save Jerseyans!

And, naturally, he’s here to save us.

That’s the premise of NJ.com’s latest garbage Christie rehabilitation effort: “Can Chris Christie save the N.J. Republican Party again? He’s going to try.”

There’s just one inconvenient question:

Save it from whom?

The timing alone is remarkable. The story landed as New Jersey Republicans descended on Atlantic City for the NJGOP’s annual statewide leadership summit, a September 18-19 gathering explicitly organized to “connect, strategize, and RALLY to the Midterms.”

So while Republican candidates, activists and elected officials were assembling to build momentum for November, the former Republican governor was making headlines explaining why the current Republican Party has it all wrong.

Some rescue mission!

Christie’s argument isn’t new. Donald Trump is toxic, MAGA is the problem, and Republicans can only win New Jersey by attracting Democrats and independents who supposedly won’t consider a candidate associated with Trump. He’s made the same argument when Trump’s fortunes have been in the toilet AND when they’ve soared. He’s a bitter man.

You’re still entitled to agree with him?

But you’re not entitled to your own facts, and let’s please dispense with the notion that Christie is some disinterested Republican elder statesman descending from Mount Mendham to impart the ancient wisdom of winning elections.

This is a guy who endorsed Trump in 2016, joined his transition operation and remained in Trump’s orbit before Trump World realized he was a charlatan and kicked him to the curb mid-transition. Since their rupture, Christie has made opposition to Trump a defining feature of his national political identity.

He even built his 2024 presidential campaign around confronting Trump, a campaign which couldn’t get through New Hampshire.

Christie is also hardly a neutral observer of New Jersey Republican politics. He has continued involving himself in the party’s internal debates and contests while frequently finding himself at odds with the voters who presently constitute its base.

Christie is perfectly correct that Republicans cannot win statewide elections by talking only to Republicans. Republicans obviously need independents. They need persuadable Democrats to the extent they still exist. They need suburban voters. They need to relentlessly attack Trenton’s spending addiction, affordability, property taxes and a state budget that has exploded since Christie left office.

But there’s a rather large difference between expanding the Republican coalition (which is what President Trump did in 2024) and perpetually lecturing Republican voters that they’re the problem. This lecture is particularly obnoxious coming from Christie since he left the movement and the NJGOP itself in absolute shambles when he left office in January 2018. The state party still hasn’t recovered financially from rampant spending on Christie’s national travel and legal bills.

There’s also some selective history involved in pretending the Christie era represents a lost Republican paradise.

Yes, Christie won twice. His 2013 reelection was a landslide facilitated by forging self-interested alliances with Democrat party bosses and, in so doing, guaranteeing that he “won” with no coattails.

He also left office in January 2018 with historically poor approval numbers, and New Jersey Republicans haven’t won statewide since.

That history is considerably more complicated than “Chris Christie knew how to win, Republicans stopped listening, and everything fell apart.”

Maybe Christie sincerely believes his renewed intervention is helpful. Narcissists can talk themselves into almost anything.

New Jersey Republicans can and must decide that for themselves based upon his odious history.

But dropping a major story about rescuing the NJGOP at precisely the moment the NJGOP is gathering in Atlantic City to rally for the midterms is certainly an interesting way to demonstrate party unity.

For the better part of the post-Trump era, Christie has been much more comfortable explaining what’s wrong with Republicans than helping Republicans explain what’s wrong with Democrats.

Now he wants another turn at the wheel.

Republicans should reasonably wonder where he thinks he’s taking them.

Message To NJ GOP: Act Out, Act Up, Disrupt!

 

I've just returned from the New Jersey Republican Party's Annual Leadership Summit in Atlantic City. When I come back from one of these multi-day events, I almost always feel uplifted and hopeful for the future. And I say this even coming off of one of the worst defeats for the NJ GOP in recent memory. 

Why am I nonetheless encouraged? 

It's the people -- the genuine rank-and-file people that make the state party tick -- who give me the willingness, indeed the desire, to continue to plow onward. Because the people, all my New Jersey Republican friends, are good people, decent people, sensible people who really love and care about their state. 

And these people deserve better. They deserve better than what they're getting from the individuals who are running this state.

The simple fact is this: our stringently leftist state government comes across as arrogant, obstinate, secretive and disdainful of any type of criticism. In fact, it's devoid of even a semblance of respect for those who dare to challenge its increasingly dogmatic views and radical agenda.

I do not make these claims lightly. But, time and again, I see so much evidence of what I've just conveyed to you -- evidence that I've presented to you here on this website time and again.  And all this has left my Republican friends (and particularly GOP officeholders who take their oath of office seriously) frustrated and dismayed. Can you blame them?

What can we do about it?

Well, I'll tell you this much -- if the roles were reversed and our Democrat "friends" were the outsiders being treated as we are now, they wouldn't be civil about it; they wouldn't be mannerly; they wouldn't be genteel. They'd be raising holy hell -- "made as hell and not taking it anymore!"

Democrats have a knack for drama that Republicans (with the obvious exception of President Trump) seem to lack. Democrats act out. They paint with broad, strokes and bold hyperbole. They magnify, they amplify, they organize and they demonstrate. And they don't hesitate to take to the streets. In fact, they've shown that they can produce an angry, "spontaneous" crowd quicker than you can say impeach.

These are not ordinary times. The hour is late and the old rules of political combat will not work anymore -- not now, not while socialism and communism loom on the horizon, their specter all too real. We're now way beyond the point of formal resolutions, declarations or policy papers. Get it?

And the way I see it, perhaps the time has come for some stubborn, sustained disruption. For this may be the only way to gain the public's attention, galvanize the cause and convince those in power that we are indeed deadly serious about saving our state and our nation.

Maybe when any Republican is disrespected or mistreated at a session of the state legislature in Trenton, all of the GOP members of that body should simply get up and walk out in protest.

"We're mad as hell and we're not gonna take it anymore!"

Maybe we need more actions like that -- active defiance in the face of the arrogance of power.

Mikie Sherrill promised affordability. What she's delivered is a bloated state budget, runaway, pork barrel spending, lost jobs and wages and higher fees and taxes. Maybe it's time for demonstrations in towns and cities all over the state that dramatize the justifiable sense of disappointment (at the very least) that ordinary citizens should be feeling. 

Maybe a mobilized march on Trenton needs to be organized. A big one a few decades ago derailed a major tax hike and sent the incumbent governor into a tailspin from which he never recovered, ultimately producing one of our finest leaders ever -- Tom Kean. 

Maybe we need to begin to train a new infantry of activists -- what I'll call a GOP StreetCorps -- to be ready to demonstrate the power of our convictions, live and in person on quick notice, sorta like the opposition truth squads that once followed political candidates. The difference here would be that the StreetCorps would be in-your-face and operative year round -- a kinda nimble, menacing, swarm of GOP disciples.

Maybe, right now, we could even use a bit of performance art to get the message across. Does that sound somewhat outside-the-box to you? Good! Because such a non-traditional approach to what we face is exactly what we need -- and we need it without delay.

Not that what I'm suggesting will suddenly and immediately turn the tide for us. It won't. But it will alert those that need to be alerted. And it will sound the alarm -- an alarm that will hopefully mobilize voters for a big statewide GOP victory at the ballot box next year. 

Still, this will happen only if we act imaginatively and daringly now!

Bottom line: I'm afraid far too many of my Garden State Republican friends have turned the other cheek for far too long. This is Joizee -- and this is a street fight, make no mistake about it. 

So take the gloves off and let's disrupt, defy and derail this misguided train before it mows us all down!

New Jersey's Messy Gov/LtGov Scandal!

On Yet Another Front, Sherrill's Shrouded In Secrecy

New Jersey State Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-Morris, Passaic) released the following statement regarding his first OPRA request from July 23 seeking government records that would show, among other things, which elections self-declared noncitizens have voted.

The request also sought records showing the extent to which other noncitizens have been registered to vote and how that is being allowed to happen.  The Secretary of State's Office requested three extensions to deadlines to produce the records, and then abruptly denied the request with claims the request was too broad.

"For almost three years, with eight of those months during the Sherrill Administration, people in the Secretary of State's Office have known that 6,600 people were registered to vote after declaring themselves to be noncitizens.  And for the past month and a half, the Sherrill Administration has refused to produce public records in their possession showing in which elections they voted, and whether any tied or close elections were swung as a result.

"You would think the Sherrill Administration and the Secretary of State's Office would live up to claims of being transparent and finally release the records.  They have allowed, or maybe directed, the government office that has known for three years that noncitizens have been voting to hide from the press and public where those noncitizens have been voting.   The secrecy is like dumping gas on public distrust that rightly runs deep, and they have no one to blame but themselves.

"The Governor needs to stop insinuating no local elections have turned on noncitizen voting. The Parsippany Mayor’s race was decided by 70 votes from thousands cast. Did these illegal voters have an effect on the outcome? My constituents have a right to know. She needs to order the Secretary of State to release the records that will prove if she was right, or if she's been filling the room with hot air.   Why is she protecting the corrupt agency that created a mess and is now stonewalling the release of public records to the press and public?  It's Stockholm Syndrome at best, or something much worse."

Noncitizens almost certainly voted in local elections over the past three years that resulted in ties or where margins of victory were by as little as a single vote.  The Governor has insinuated no election results were impacted by noncitizens without ever producing a single government record that would back up that claim.  Several elections resulted in ties or single vote margins of victory.

On August 28, Senator Pennacchio submitted a new OPRA request — this time limiting it to the public records that show where noncitizens (without names or private information) have been voting. Yesterday, the Secretary of State's Office asked for an almost three-week extension of time to produce a single government record in their possession showing where they have voted.

BOMBSHELL: Sherrill's 'Scandal Within A Scandal'

New Jersey State Senator Declan O’Scanlon (R-Monmouth) released the following statement regarding new information appearing to indicate that the Sherrill campaign was made aware of concerns involving then-Centenary University President and now-Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell. Apparently, a potential whistleblower from Centenary College contacted the Sherrill campaign with concerns about Caldwell. There was initial receptiveness to hear the whistleblower out, but then an abrupt termination of contact.

“The Caldwell situation is, and must, run its course. But this new, under-reported, revelation appears to be a separate potential scandal and raises troubling questions: What did Governor Sherrill, Lt. Governor Caldwell, and their staff know, when did they know it, what did they do about it? Lastly, was there an overt attempt to muzzle a potential whistleblower?

“This is a scandal within the scandal. If concerns about Caldwell’s conduct were brought to the Sherrill campaign before voters had the opportunity to judge him, and those concerns were ignored, ghosted, or blocked, that raises serious questions about the Governor’s vetting process and judgment. And, let’s face it, if it comes to that, it’s much easier to replace a candidate than a sitting Lt. Governor.

“If someone came forward with serious allegations about a potential running mate, that should have triggered scrutiny and a thorough investigation. Instead, we are learning that the person who raised those concerns was allegedly ghosted and blocked. Potentially even more offensive, and counter to the Governor’s rhetoric, the potential whistleblower was outed and had her identity widely divulged - including to Caldwell himself - despite a specific request to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation. The then campaign staffer apparently responsible for all of this, Leslie Bockol, is now employed by the Department of State as… Lt. Governor Caldwell’s speechwriter. 

This begs several questions: who did Bockol speak with between the time of the initial contact with the whistleblower & when she ghosted, blocked & doxed her? Was Bockol rewarded with her current job because of her efforts to thwart the whistleblower? Was the whistleblower retaliated against as a result of Bockol betraying her trust and outing her? Will Governor Sherrill hold Bockol, and whoever above her instructed to ghost, block & dox the whistleblower, accountable? Lastly, what were the whistleblower’s accusations? Did they involve similar issues to the ones now being investigated? This is pretty outrageous stuff. It can’t be ignored.

“This must be part of the current investigation. Christopher Porrino should examine what the Sherrill campaign was told, who received the information, what was done with it, and whether anyone attempted to suppress, disregard, or conceal it.

“And if it is true that individuals associated with the Sherrill campaign exposed or ‘outed’ the person who came forward, that must be investigated as well. If anyone retaliated against, exposed or attempted to intimidate a potential victim or whistleblower for coming forward, they should be held accountable. Political connections cannot put anyone above accountability.

“This is ultimately about Governor Sherrill’s judgment. She chose Caldwell. She put him on the ticket. She brought him into her administration. If her campaign had information raising serious concerns and failed to act, New Jerseyans deserve to know why. If she was not told, they deserve to know who made that decision and why.

“Governor Sherrill promised transparency and accountability and said public officials must meet the highest standards. Just yesterday she said ‘anyone must know that they can come forward with a complaint and they will be safe from retaliation.’ Do we need to add ‘…except when we want to bury your allegations?’

“If these facts are accurate,” said O’Scanlon, “at least two people should be fired. Bockol, and whoever she spoke to between her initial communications with the whistleblower and when she abruptly ghosted, blocked, and divulged the whistleblower’s identity despite her specific request to remain confidential.

“Follow the facts. Investigate everyone involved. Hold accountable anyone whose misconduct is substantiated. New Jerseyans deserve nothing less.

“Otherwise, this may become known as the ‘ghost, block, dox’ administration — where transparency, accountability, and whistleblower protections only apply when they are politically convenient.”

NJ GOP: Lt Governor Must Resign IMMEDIATELY!

NJGOP Chairwoman Christine Giordano Hanlon has called on Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell to resign immediately, following continued reports about the investigation into allegations of his inappropriate conduct toward women.

“On Friday after reviewing the bombshell report by David Wildstein in the Globe, we laid out a series of questions that the public needed answers to, including ‘when did Governor Sherrill know?’” said Chairwoman Hanlon.  “We now have the answer as reported in BINJE: months ago.” 

“According to reports, an outside investigation led by a former Attorney General began in the late spring and the Lieutenant Governor sat with investigators two months ago. And in all that time, the Sherrill Administration told the people of New Jersey nothing — while Dale Caldwell continued to serve as Lieutenant Governor, as Secretary of State, and repeatedly as Acting Governor of this state while Governor Sherrill was off campaigning for congressional candidates in other states. 

“Let that sink in. New Jersey had an Acting Governor under investigation for inappropriate conduct toward women and potential ethics violations, and the administration that promised to be the most transparent in history kept it quiet for months,” continued Hanlon.  “The fact that this investigation has been going on for months clearly indicates that these are very serious allegations.”

“Moreover, Governor Sherrill, the first woman Democratic Governor in New Jersey, allowed the potential behavior to continue for months while shrouding the investigation in secrecy, putting more women potentially at risk.  This could be the worst handling of a crisis in modern history. Caldwell should have been placed on leave during the investigation. As a mother of three daughters, I consider this an outrage!”

“The Administration’s statement in response to the reporting is equally disturbing, passing the situation off as a ‘personnel’ matter in an effort to shield the information from the public.  The Governor and Lieutenant Governor should not be considered ‘personnel’ – they are the highest level elected officials in the state and must be held to the highest standard of accountability and transparency.”

“Caldwell is not only the Lieutenant Governor but is also our Secretary of State — the official charged with overseeing New Jersey’s elections. That office cannot function under these circumstances. For the good of the state, and out of respect for the women whose complaints prompted this investigation, Dale Caldwell must resign as Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State immediately.”
