Our buddy Dan Gross (who's also one of our Phavorite Philly columnists) got the scoop on Phillies pitcher Wilson Valdez and it ain't good.
Yo, Philly celebrities and sports stars: Dan's got spies everywhere, so watch what you're sayin, doin and tippin.
Here's a snippet from Dan's column:

Phillies infielder and one-time pitcher Wilson Valdez is making $560,000 this year but tipped only 50 cents on two drinks he paid for with a $100 bill for him and a pal just before last call at Time (1315 Sansom) after last Thursday's late-ending game against the Cubs.

Kudos to Dan Gross for making this amazing discovery: Anthony Weiner and Family Guy's Glen Quagmire were separated at birth.

I can only imagine the field day Seth MacFarlane would have with this.

Our Phavorite Philly Gossip columnist Dan Gross ran with this intriguing photo of Phillies pitching aces Roy Hallday (left) and Cole Hamels playing with the dolphins at the Georgia Aquarium while in Atlanta where they faced off against the Braves. Bradley Cooper In Philly Shooting Movie

Our favorite Philly gossip columnist Dan Gross reports that "Hangover" star Bradley Cooper is in Philly today shooting a new ending for the film "Limitless."
Cooper has been in the area of 13th & Walnut.
The area has been tagged "Midtown Village" and has quickly become one of the trendiest sections of the city and a favorite spot for new restaurants, shops and watering holes. Cooper fits right in amidst the boutiques and the boutique eateries with their hip, youthful vibe.
According to Gross, "Limitless" is about "a wonder drug that allows Cooper's character, a writer, to use maximum brainpower."
We're told that Cooper has been friendly to media and bystanders.

Gal Stalking Eagles QB

From our friend, Dan Gross in the Philadelphia Daily News:
A 39-year old woman who lives in the same condo building as Eagles quarterback A.J. Feeley [shown with fiancee, Heather Mitts] has been arrested and charged with stalking and harassing him. Ayesha Muzaffar is charged with two misdemeanors for which she faces a hearing May 15 in Common Pleas Court, according to criminal-court records. Muzaffar was arrested on similar charges in 2001, records show. Sources tell us Muzaffar is believed to have stuffed sexually charged notes under Feeley's door in the Metro Club Condos (201 N. 8th). Asked if the harassment was of a sexual nature, Police Sgt. Ray Evers said he "can't get into all that." Evers, who wouldn't confirm that Feeley was the complainant, said the notes were not "sports- related." "I can't get into the particulars because it's an ongoing legal matter now," said Feeley in a text message yesterday. "Scary though," he added. He's engaged to soccer star Heather Mitts.

Danzel & Son Eye Penn

From our friend Dan Gross at the Philadelphia Daily News:
Oscar-wiining actor Denzel Washington did a good job going incognito while visiting the Penn campus Friday with his family on a tour for incoming students.
Washington, with about a week's growth of beard, a baseball cap and sweats, strolled around Penn with wife Pauletta and their children, twins Olivia and Malcolm, who turned 18 on that day.
Malcolm was accepted to study at Penn and, we're told, will start this fall. While touring the campus, Denzel and Malcolm - named after Malcolm X, whom Washington famously portrayed in Spike Lee's film - dropped by the Palestra, where Malcolm participated last summer in a basketball camp.
"We can't give out the names of any students who have applied to Penn," a university spokeswoman told us yesterday, when we asked if Malcolm would be starting there in the fall.

'Typical White Person'

Our friend Dan Gross at the Philadelphia Daily News helped to break one of the biggest stories of the day when he reported as follows on his blog, Philly Gossip:
We thought we heard this, but we wanted to go back and listen to the clip of Sen. Barack Obama on 610 WIP this morning to be sure.610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person."
Exactly what is a "typical white person?"
Is a typical white person someone who has a "fear of black men who pass by" him or her on the street? That's what Obama said about his grandmother the other day.
Is a typical white person someone "who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes?" That's another characterization that Obama made of his grandmother.
What eaxctly is a typical white person?
Dan Gross takes this a step further and dares to ask: "If Hillary Clinton referred to a 'typical black person,' would we ever hear the end of it?"
It's a damned good question, Dan - one that we sense we know the answer to.
