Amidst The Feigned Piety, A Smutty Underbelly

In 2016 when he was preparing to interview Hillary Clinton at an Iowa firehouse, Chris Matthews requested some of the "queen's [Hillary's] water" and then asked for "those Bill Cosby pills" that he jokes he brought along with him. Matthews' crew and others laughed nervously as the cringed over a joke about Cosby drugging young women before he allegedly sexually assaulted them.
Now, understand this -- we're not accusing Matthews of anything other than smugness, phoniness, bad manners and a relentless double standard.
Though Matthews later apologized, this is not the first or only incident of its type involving him. It's a pattern -- and not just with Matthews.
And the big problem here is that these presumptuous media types act holier-than-thou, never hesitating to ramrod others for the slightest indiscretion while conveniently ignoring, excusing, covering up or laughing off their own boorish and often downright smutty behavior.
It's the feigned piety, the phoniness and the imperious double-standard that we object to, OK?
How dare they presume to wantonly cast aspersions on others? How dare they?

Loudmouth TV Blabber Reaches A New Low

Chris Matthews tonight on MessNBC, reacting to Trump's withdrawal from the Fox debate: "Who's gonna watch a debate between two Cuban guys?"
Matthews has now sunk to a point that can only be described as "lower than low." He ought to be fired, or at least suspended.

In Weird Rant Matthews Calls DC 'Little City Of Humble Pretensions'

During the Pope's visit to the nation's capital MSNBC's Chris Matthews went on a weird rant (in which he even managed to weave in the Kennedys) about Washington and adds (of Americans) "we're not a bunch of crazy capitalists who don't care about the underdog."
Then, in another bizarre twist, the newly-returned (and formerly exiled) Brian Williams goes on to praise Matthews while talking about eating cheesesteaks in Philly.
Truly strange!

Really? Has Matthews REALLY Soured On Obama?

"What part of the presidency does Obama like? He doesn't like dealing with other politicians -- that means his own cabinet, that means members of the congress, either party. He doesn't particularly like the press.... He likes to write the speeches, likes to rewrite what Favreau and the others wrote for the first draft.
"So what part does he like? He likes going on the road, campaigning, visiting businesses like he does every couple days somewhere in Ohio or somewhere.
"But what part does he like? He doesn't like lobbying for the bills he cares about. He doesn't like selling to the press. He doesn't like giving orders or giving somebody the power to give orders. He doesn't seem to like being an executive.” -Chris Matthews

Matthews' Obama 'Thrill' Gone, But Don't Be Fooled!

You remember Chris Matthews, don't you?
He's the MSNBC gasbag who got a chill (or was it a thrill?) up his leg every time Obama spoke. He's one of the people who sainted The One. He's also an old liberal apologist who once worked for Jimmy Carter.
Anyway, as this video suggests, Matthews now seems disenchanted with Obama.
But don't be fooled.
Either Matthews is all hot 'n bothered because some people at the White House aren't taking his calls and/or he's trying to offer the White House some advice because it's finally dawned on him that Obama's really in trouble.
Like all the other libs, Chris Matthews will come around and cheer on Obama when the time comes -- and you can also bet he won;t hesitate to arbitrarily bash the GOP nominee as well.
Some things never change.

Matthews With Scoop Tonight: Bush Caused Earthquake

I just heard that Chris Matthews of MSNBC is set to go with a story tonight blaming the DC area earthquake all on George W. Bush.
Matthews is said to have first-hand knowledge and inside (the pants) information on the quake.
Here's how it came down:
Matthews didn't know what was happening when everything started to move.
In fact, the first few moments seemed thrilling.
Matthews actually thought he was feeling another Obamaesque tingle up his leg -- he thought Obama was about to make a huge return-from-the-wilderness comeback -- a sort of cosmic miracle.
But Matthews realized it was a tremble and not a tingle that he was experiencing. And then, as his cherished copy of Teddy Kennedy's book True North left the bookshelf and landed on his head, Matthews panicked.
According to reports, his  bowels loosened and he started screaming: "BUSH! BUSH! IT'S BUSH AND CHENEY! I'M UNDER ATTACK!"
Poor, poor Chris.

As Obama Falters, Matthews Gets Slammed

As President Obama falters, Chris Matthews seems to look dumber (and more like a sorry suckup) every day.
And now Matthews is coming in for more and more criticism.
After all, it was Matthews who helped to create the myth of Obama as The Savior. And it's been Matthews who has worshiped at the alter of Obama for more than three years.
But now, the veil is being lifted and the shrine that the media (with Matthews leading the way) erected to Obama is starting to crumble.
And the the truth is finally being spoken.
Here's what Tucker Carlson had to say about Matthews on Fox News last night:
“It’s excruciating for Chris to listen to other people talk. You can see the kind of pain in his face but, y’know, he’s spent the last couple of years just sucking up to this guy [Obama], sniffing his throne really in an obsequious and embarrassing way, humiliating himself on behalf of Obama. It must be difficult to watch what’s happened to the country.”
“Well, very few people have done more to divide the country than Chris Matthews, I would say. So it’s very hard to hold him up as someone who brings us together because he’s very much a divider.”
 Go, Tucker, go!

Obama To The Rescue?

Guess what?
Barack Obama is gonna give a speech!
Yeah, at a critical moment -- just when you thought he was on the ropes -- he's gonna give a Big, Big, Important Speech.
Obama's gonna speak to a Joint Session of Congress next week, right after Labor Day during Prime Time when everybody's payin attention.
And it'll be live on radio and TV and the Internet and in the papers.
He's gonna talk about Health Care.
And the media are gonna hype the hell out of this all during the next week and then the next day and beyond. Chris Matthews (Aunt Blabby) may got such a tingle up his leg that he might actually yell and scream and emit orgasmic sounds.
In fact, Libs everywhere may have to be frantically fanned or even hosed down.
Obama. Big Speech. Prime Time. Important Subject.
Sound familiar?
Of course it does.
This is what the Big O does when he's in a jam.
He gives a Big Speech. He gives you the BS.
And have you heard? We're told that Obama's actually gonna tell us what he'll accept in the form of a health care plan. In other words, he's finally (after months and months of confusion and rancor) gonna put his name on a plan. That's what we're told, anyway.
So, listen closely. Listen. Listen, America.
Hang onto every word.
Cause you won't be hearin anything like this again for at least a month or two.

Obama: The New Kennedy Brother?

Yesterday, on radio and television MSNBC's Chris Matthews (aka "Aunt Blabby") wasted no time in proclaiming President Barack Obama "the last Kennedy brother."
Isn't it interesting: Now that all of the Kennedy brothers have gone and can no longer speak for themselves Matthews has decided that he will speak for them.
Matthews says that Ted Kennedy handed the "ball over" to Obama before he died. He claims that Teddy passed the torch of Camelot not to a member of his own family but to President Obama.
Well, it's true that Kennedy supported Obama for the Presidency.
But other members of the Kennedy family publicly broke with Teddy and supported Hillary Clinton.
Let's get this straight: There is no Camelot. The Kennedys do not preside over a kingdom; they do not rule via a bloodline and they cannot automatically transfer their rule or whatever presumed powers they have either to members of their own family or anyone else.
We don't live in a monarchy.
And our President is not a King.
And one other thing: It's time for Chris Matthews to shut up!

Matthews: Obama Is Christ

From Geoffrey at NewsBusters:
Introducing Howard Dean, on Wednesday night's "Hardball," Chris Matthews indirectly compared Barack Obama to Jesus Christ as he introduced the former head of the DNC and 2004 presidential candidate as "the man who really laid out the path for Barack Obama. He was the St. John the Baptist...leading for that fellow."
In the Christian faith St. John the Baptist is considered to be the precursor to Jesus Christ, so in Matthews' metaphor of Democratic presidential politics that would have to make Obama, Jesus. For his part Dean, justifiably, appeared uncomfortable with the comparison, as he appreciated Matthews' promise to "not make any further reference there to the Deity."
After that awkward introduction Matthews, in the ensuing segment, went on to call Republicans like John McCain, Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney "imbeciles" for their various criticisms of Obama, as he continued his "idiot button" routine that he began on Tuesday's show.
Chris Matthews (aka "Aunt Blabby") is a disgrace to TV "journalism," a notorious liberal apologist and shameless Obama worshiper. More and more Matthews comes across as a self-absorbed jerk and a total gas bag.

St. Joe Honors Matthews? Outrageous!

From Frank Diamond in The Bulletin:
Chris Matthews? You want to bestow an honorary degree on Mr. Matthews, St. Joe’s?

What diversity-addled ditherer over in humanities stuffed that idea into the suggestion box? And what defender of politically correct speech (and nothing but politically correct speech) of an administrator agreed? Did something worm its way into the drinking water out on City Line Avenue?
I got no response from school officials as of the filing of this column so I have to assume that the announcement last week that St. Joseph’s University plans to fete Mr. Matthews at its 2009 commencement ceremonies wasn’t an April Fools’ joke.
Mr. Matthews hosts the fast-tanking MSNBC gabfest, “Hardball.” Of course, “host” doesn’t quite describe Mr. Matthews’s act. He’s more a vaudevillian, which most readers have never actually witnessed since Vaudeville died about the time talkies hit the theaters.
Picture Mr. Matthews as an old, old, old very old comedian whose timing left him a long, long, long, very long time ago and whose audience is really just there to see the dancing girls anyway. Picture him sporting a red rubber nose and the moniker “Jo-Jo the Journalist.” Picture him pompous, by all means since pomposity makes the silly look even sillier. Let Jo-Jo weigh in on matters of which he has no true understanding. That’s “Hardball.” I can’t wait for the series finale, when a big hook appears and drags Mr. Matthews off the stage.

Couldn’t St. Joe’s let this ratings dog lie? Why would you want the star of one of the least viewed shows on television to grace your commencement ceremonies? Were the hosts on the Food Network busy that day?
There are more than just common-sense reasons why Mr. Matthews should not be honored by a Catholic university. He is a well-know abortion rights advocate. It’s as if Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were asked to address the Israeli Knesset. (“Thank you! What a great crowd! I almost don’t want to wipe you off the face of the earth anymore!”) It’s as if the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan were toasted by the NAACP.
Hello? Anybody home there at St. Joe’s?
Why must anyone have to say to officials of an institution of higher learning that what people think matters? The last I looked, Catholicism teaches that abortion is murder. Therefore, Mr. Matthews is an abettor of genocide — when he’s not doing the soft-shoe and spritzing seltzer water at the audience.
Take away that major obstacle and the desire to honor this narrow-sighted coot still makes no sense. If you wanted to celebrate a washed-up national joke, a cartoon caricature of a political thinker, a man who reached the apex of his social relevance years ago, a public figure with roots squarely planted in the vaudevillian tradition, than why not honor Mr. Magoo?

St. Joe Apes Notre Dame

From Chris Friend at The Bulletin of Philadelphia:
Ignoring the controversy surrounding Notre Dame's honoring of pro-abortion Barack Obama as its commencement speaker, Saint Joseph's University has followed suit.
It will grant an honorary degree to broadcast journalist Chris Matthews at the university's 2009 commencement ceremonies.
Despite Mr. Matthew's Catholic education, having graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, he is widely regarded as a strong supporter of abortion rights, and was unabashed in his admiration of Mr. Obama's positions.
Support for abortion is antithetical to the Church's teachings. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops opposes the practice of hosting speakers who are outspoken against Catholic doctrine.
"The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles," said the bishop's conference in a statement. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions."

Calls to Saint Joseph's President Fr. Timothy Lannon went unreturned.
This move by St. Joe is a disgrace.
BTW: The commencement will also feature remarks by radical leftist Cornel West who will also receive an honorary degree.
And there's more:
I look forward to meeting these exemplary honorary degree recipients and welcoming them to our tremendous University community,” said University President Timothy R. Lannon, S.J.
Here's how you can make your voice heard:
Call the St. Joe communications office at 610-660-1385 or contact senior communications director Kelly Welsh at kwelsh@sju.edu.
Also, contact University President Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. by calling 610-660-1000.
You can reach the office of University Communications at ucomm@sju.edu., through their website, or by telephone at 610-660-1221.

Matthews On 'Stagecraft'

Aunt Blabby (aka Chris Matthews) has gone and done it again!
Blabby's Big Mouth, blatant partisanship, huge ego and bad manners have once again made him the Poster Boy for Out-of-Control Liberalism.
Here's the story from the Associated Press:
MSNBC's Chris Matthews said he was surprised by the "peculiar stagecraft" of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's response to President Barack Obama's speech to Congress, leading him to quietly say "Oh God" as Jindal approached a microphone.
The remark inspired a brief Internet guessing game about who had said it and questions about whether someone at MSNBC was mocking the Republican governor.
Matthews' barely audible "Oh God" appeared to be a classic case of someone talking on TV without realizing their microphone was on, and potentially embarrassing to a network many Republicans already regard with suspicion because of left-leaning talk shows by
Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.
"I was taken aback by that peculiar stagecraft, the walking from somewhere in the back of this narrow hall, the winding staircase looming there, the odd antibellum look of the scene," Matthews said in a script for his "Hardball" show on Wednesday. "Was this some mimicking of a president walking along the state floor to the East Room?"
Matthews said he wasn't referring to Jindal himself, or anything he expected the governor to say.
A clip of the "Oh God" remark quickly made the Internet rounds. Before it was known that Matthews had said it, the
Huffington Post asked readers to guess who it was and nearly 7,000 people responded: 32 percent had guessed Matthews, 35 percent said it was Olbermann, his co-anchor, 15 percent said it was an MSNBC camera operator and 18 percent thought it was a producer.
It's not the first time Matthews' mouth has gotten him noticed for the wrong reasons. He was ridiculed by some Republicans for saying he "felt this thrill going up my leg" during an Obama speech, but later defended the remark as an objective look at Obama's ability to inspire through his speeches.
After some protests by women's groups, Matthews said he was wrong last year to say that the reason
Hillary Clinton was a senator and candidate for president "is that her husband messed around."
So the Blabberino didn't like the "peculiar stagecraft."
But Matthews himself is the living, walking embodiment of "peculiar stagecraft."
He's a rumpled, loud, obnoxious goofy-looking guy who can't seem to keep his mouth shut and can't stop making an ass of himself.
MSNBC and NBC should have canned this clown years ago!

Aunt Blabby Strikes Again

Aunt Blabby (aka Chris Matthews) came to Camden last night and couldn't resist mouthing off about Bush and Palin.
Apparently, the Blabberino loves it when you challenge him with dares like: "How low can you go, Chris?"
About Palin, Aunt Blabby said she's "a demonstration, in a weird way, of the importance of education."
And comparing George W. Bush to his father, Matthews opined: "Boy, does he look good compared to you-know-who. So much for human development and evolution."
Of course, this Blabbermouth should know about failed presidencies first hand since he was a speech-writer for one of the worst presidents of the 20th century, Jimmy Carter. Aside from the monologue where Carter said we were suffering from a malaise and blamed our problems on the American people, can anyone remember anything from any speech delivered by Jimmy Carter. Anything?
And what is is about Matthews that leads him back to ad hominem again and again?

Forget Lincoln, King

Aunt Blabby (aka Chris Matthews) has been at it again.
News Busters reports that after Obama's laborious 45-minute oration last week Matthews couldn't wait to declare the OH!man's windy lecture "worthy of Abraham Lincoln," and also claimed it bypassed Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" address as the "best speech ever given on race in this country."
And now The Blabberino has opened his mouth again declaring that Obama "gets to me" and adding that he just can't help but get emotional when Obama speaks, like some kind of impressionable Obamaniac.
Not that we should be shocked or surprised about Aunt Blabby's schoolgirl crush. He's already said that that he feels a "thrill up my leg" when Obama goes into one of his stem winders. It's like Matthews is breathless waiting for Obama to slide the glass slipper onto his tootsy.
Even on Good Friday Chris Matthews just can't shut up. He simply can't stop gushing, can't stop preening, can't stop bloviating. Go away, Chris - go far, far away!
