Wonderful patriot Sarah Palin of Alaska just announced that she is running for Congress, and that means there will be a true America First fighter on the ballot to replace the late and legendary Congressman Don Young. Sarah shocked many when she endorsed me very early in 2016, and we won big. Now, it’s my turn! Sarah has been a champion for Alaska values, Alaska energy, Alaska jobs, and the great people of Alaska. She was one of the most popular Governors because she stood up to corruption in both State Government and the Fake News Media. Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps despite the fact that she had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself. They were out to destroy her, but she didn’t let that happen. Sarah Palin is tough and smart and will never back down, and I am proud to give her my Complete and Total Endorsement, and encourage all Republicans to unite behind this wonderful person and her campaign to put America First!

A Vicious Old Man Perpetrating A Nasty Lie

Biden talks cooperation and civility but he's just a mean, bitter old man -- mumbling away and taking cheap shots whenever he can. 

Here, he makes a reference to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, referring to a scurrilous lie that the media perpetrated: that Palin said she could "see Russia from my house." In fact, Palin told dumb Democrats and the liberal media that it is possible to see Russia from the outer Alaskan islands. And, indeed it is. 

Biden is a pathetic, deceitful old pol -- but nonetheless dangerous for the power he wields and all the people he continues to fool. Shame on 'im!

Did They Deliberately Target Her? You Decide!

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, sued The New York Times on Tuesday. She alleged that the newspaper defamed her in an editorial, that appeared to link her to political violence after the shooting of House Republican Whip Steve Scalise earlier in June.
The Times said it would "vigorously" fight the action. Scalise and three other people were wounded on June 14th by a gunman who fired shots at Republican lawmakers practicing in Alexandria, Virginia, before the annual congressional baseball game.

Criticize Sarah Palin And Feel The Heat

So many people read my Philadelphia Daily News column about Sarah Palin yesterday (it was one of the most-read opinion pieces at philly.com) and it generated a huge number of comments both at the Daily News and at Lucianne.com where it also appeared.

Palin is definitely unqualified. She's got no community organizing experience.

Usually, I agree with you Dan, but this time I disagree. Sarah Palin can talk to middle America, and she can energize the Republican Party like none of the other candidates. To say that Hillary Clinton is Presidential is to ignore the fact that she is a blatant liar. We have had too many of those in the White House. 

Palin is so stubborn in her stupidity that she is still insisting (on her Fox-only appearances) that she is right about Paul Revere. Stop defending this idiot. You should be shaming and shunning her for the betterment of the world. She is permanently ruining the Republican brand (further than Bush has). 


My theory: John McCain brought this 75 IQ out of oblivion and set it loose on the rest of the world because he knew that he already did his time in hell in a VC POW camp. I was hoping if we ignored it, it would go away and take its offspring with it.

The thought of Sarah Palin with her hand on 'that button' is far and away the scariest thought I've ever had. 

I grew up in Philadelphia and currently live in its suburbs. The Daily News is train/el reading material, i.e. quick and lightweight coverage of mostly local new with lots of sports talk and always only half-a-step away from a trash can. Mr. Cirucci sounds like a faux conservative trying to build up his street cred with the big-time Journ-O-listas who try to maim Palin. While sometimes repetition is an effective smear tactic, sometimes it boomerangs. Lately the boomerangs have been laying out their throwers quite nicely--especially when Sarah has been the primary target. The woman is remarkable. 

Spot on and describes her exactly. Not for prez, not ever. 

Daniel, Daniel. From what I see, Sarah has been heading for higher office from the day she resigned in a gutsy move to save the Alaska taxpayers and herself from the burdensome costs of fighting multiple frivoulous lawsuits. She just didn't send you the memo. Everything she has done since then has been purposeful and orderly. What has any other potential cnadidate done in the past 2 years to promote the greatness of American and address the significant distructive policies coming from Obama?  

Dopey Dan must have missed her Fox News Sunday interview.

The writer admits: I'm quite conservative and actually agree with you on a number of issues facing the nation and the world. But style is more important to him than substance. And her critics say she's stupid! I say, RUN, SARAH, RUN! 

Hillary is presidential, but Palin is not? And this author claims to be a conservative? Palin is a "polarizer"? Hey dummy! That is the point! We need to be polarized! You don't compromise with stupidity, you defeat it! This is a liberal who thinks he is something else. Disregard anything he says. 

Dear Sarah: Just say yes! You are the only one with balls!  

Dear Governor Palin: Just Say 'No!'

DEAR GOV. PALIN: Hmmm . . . maybe I shouldn't even be calling you "Governor." You were in office, what - less than three years?
You didn't even serve a full term before you quit. I never understood why. It's not like you were headed for a higher office or anything. It's just that you quit. And I don't like quitters.
Yes, I suppose you saw an opportunity to make a lot of money and gain a broader national platform. And I imagine Alaska can get pretty boring. But these concerns are minor compared with some of the concerns I have about you lately.

Tea Party Leaders Greet Palin In Philly

A dozen members of the Independence Hall Tea Party Association were on hand yesterday afternoon to greet the Palin family during their  "One Nation" bus tour stop at the Liberty Bell Pavilion.  

"We are pleased that Mrs. Palin is highlighting our national historic sites on this bus tour," said  Association President Teri Adams.  "Obviously, as the Independence Hall Tea Party, we deeply value the symbolic significance of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall."

Don Adams, co-founder of the Independence Hall Tea Party, spoke to Palin just a few feet away from the Liberty Bell.

"We invited Governor Palin to our July 4th Energy Independence Day Tea Party.  I told her that the theme was "Drill, Baby, Drill" and she high-fived

me.

"Governor Palin elaborated on the theme of our tea party, saying that the US was pumping billions of dollars into foreign economies due to our energy dependency--money that could be invested in America and used to create jobs--if only we were determined to become energy independent."

"Of course, we agree with her message and hope that she might attend our July 4th Tea Party."

Romney Gains On Obama, Leads GOP Race

Watch out President Obama.
Slowly by surely Mitt Romney is gaining on you, day by day.
And Mitt isn't even officially in the race yet. He hasn't even started campaigning.
Here's an excerpt from the McClatchey-Marist poll, the Daily Caller and Mitt Romney Central:

A McClatchy-Marist poll released on Wednesday shows Mitt Romney in a statistical deadheat with President Barack Obama. Obama leads Romney, 46 percent to 45 percent.
The one-point margin represents a dramatic improvement for the former Massachusetts governor, who trailed Obama 51 percent to 38 percent in a McClatchy-Marist poll conducted this past January.
Mike Huckabee was the second-most competitive Republican polled, trailing Obama 48 percent to 43 percent, also a large improvement from the January poll, in which Obama led 50 percent to 38 percent.
However, other potential Republican candidates do not fair as well. Despite Donald Trump’s recent media spotlight and self-generated presidential buzz, the real estate tycoon trails Obama 54 percent to 38 percent.
Former vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin fares even worse, trailing Obama 56 percent to 34 percent.

Bill Maher Is a Pathetic Figure

Wise guy Bill Maher has become a viciously partisan, nasty, pathetic figure.
His jabs at his perceived enemies merely reflect his own sorry state.
Here's an excerpt from NewsBusters:

Undeterred by criticism that his recent attacks on Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann have gone over the line of comedic decency even for him, HBO's Bill Maher continued his sexist assault on two of the leading conservative female politicians Friday. 

As part of a joke mocking Donald Trump's recent lapse into birtherism, the "Real Time" host displayed mock birth certificates of Palin showing that she was born "Healthy, alert and pregnant" while Bachmann's read “Stupid, even for a baby”

Mind you, this recent criticism is actually mild for the garbage-mouthed Maher.
His names for Palin and Michelle Bachmann have included words I dare not repeat here. But I will tell you this: One of the words rhymes with "punt."

Remembering Geraldine Ferraro

Geraldine Ferraro was a modern-day trailblazer.
Yes, the quick-taking lady from New York was the first woman to be nominated for the vice-presidency from a major political party in 1984. And she was also the first Italian-American ever to reach that vaulted status in American politics.
I met Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 when she came to speak to the Philadelphia Bar Association at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. She was gracious, funny, witty and smart. I was so impressed with all the time she took with young girls who had been brought to the event by their moms and dads.
She knew that she and Walter Mondale were fighting an uphill battle (like many others, I was a huge Reagan fan at the time) but that didn't stop her from fighting the good fight -- and she did it all with pride and dignity.
I saw Ferraro again at the 2004 GOP Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York. She had become a TV commentator and I greeted her as she scurried up to one of those sky boxes where TV anchors and talking heads congregated. She still looked great.
Ferraro deserves a lot of credit for not automatically falling into line behind Barack Obama in 2008. The former congresswoman was rightly skeptical about Obama's bona fides and she called Obama more than once on inappropriate comments and gaffes that he committed during the campaign. And, Ferraro also deserves a lot of credit for not joining the chorus of those who piled on Sarah Palin. Ferraro and Palin practically became chums during the 2008 campaign even though Ferraro remained a stalwart Democrat. Of late, Ferraro also served as a contributor on Fox News.
Bravo, Geraldine Ferraro!
You opened the door for so many others and you always remained true to your convictions and your impenetrable sense of integrity.
You also made all of us proud of our Italian-American heritage.

Gallup: No Clear Leader In GOP '12 Race

Gallup has a new poll out that shows Huckabee, Romney and Palin bunched together at the top of the battle for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination.
And while Romney and Huckabee have been ahead at various times, Palin has never been in the lead.
Currently Huckabee leads Romney but the margins are still close.
Here's an excerpt from Gallup's analysis of the situation:

There is no clear front-runner for the 2012 Republican nomination, which is a departure from what it has been in years prior to a presidential election. Huckabee may be the closest thing to a front-runner at this point, but he has yet to hold a statistically significant lead in any survey. But his candidacy, as well as that of Sarah Palin, is far from assured.
Romney would apparently benefit more from Huckabee's sitting out the race than from Palin's doing so, and he would move to the front of the field (though not by a statistically significant margin) if neither Huckabee nor Palin runs.
All of this underscores the current wide-open nature of the race, which could eventually find some structure in the coming months as the potential candidates make official decisions about entering the race, begin to campaign in earnest, and face each other in a series of scheduled debates starting in May.

Funny, we heard virtually no complaints from the left-leaning mainstream media about "lack of civility" after this aired. Nothing. Nada.
Apparently, when you're talking about a leading conservative you can trash him or her any way you want. So long as you're running down someone on the right, it seems civility doesn't matter one bit.

Poll: Christie Surges, Would Defeat Obama

The Daily Caller (via the Zogby Poll) is reporting that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is surging in national polls while Sarah Palin is falling.
Zogby shows Christie as the strongest potential GOP presidential candidate and the poll says Christie would defeat Obama in a present-day matchup.
Here's some of the story from The Daily Caller:

According to a new Zogby poll, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie leads other possible Republican presidential candidates and would beat President Obama in a hypothetical matchup.

“Christie’s blunt talk about public employees and his aggressive actions on the New Jersey state budget have made him very popular both within the Republican Party and with independents,” said pollster John Zogby. “If he decided to run, Christie could quickly oust Romney as the favorite of establishment Republicans.”

“Our results are not good news for Palin,” continued Zogby. “She isn’t winning independents, and despite her star power with conservatives, she is not their first choice to take on Obama.”

Christie leads Obama 43 percent to 40 percent in a head-to-head contest. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney ties the president 41 percent to 41 percent. Both Christie and Romney lead the president among independent voters.

Palinmania: It's Time For A Time Out

ABC television is reporting that ABC News “Good Morning America” Co-Anchor Robin Roberts will travel to Alaska "for an interview with Sarah Palin to air on Friday, December 17 on 'Good Morning America.'"
According to ABC "Roberts will spend a day-in-the-life with the former governor and mother of five at her home in Wasilla.
"In a wide-ranging interview, Roberts will talk to Palin about her new book 'America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag,' plus all the major political news of the day, from taxes to health care to foreign policy."
Here's my observation: I think we can all use a break from Sarah Palin, her family, Wasilla and everything that goes with it just about now.
I've seen enough 'days in the life' of Sarah Palin. It's time for a "time out."
