Since returning to office, President Donald J. Trump has unleashed a bold America First agenda that is crushing bureaucracy, restoring fairness, and rebuilding American dominance. Through sweeping deregulation, pro-growth policies, and decisive enforcement, the Trump Administration is slashing waste, protecting American workers, and stacking victory after victory. Here are a few recent wins you may have missed:

🍎 Food stamp dependency is plummeting. More than 4.3 million fewer Americans are on food stamps since President Trump signed the landmark Working Families Tax Cuts Act. Illegal aliens have been removed from the rolls and requirements restored for able-bodied adults — safeguarding benefits for Americans who truly need them.

🎓 Foreign student enrollment is collapsing. New data reveals a 20% drop last spring after the Trump Administration dramatically tightened international visas. This multi-year decline is freeing thousands of spots for American students at colleges and universities across the country.

📈 Economic fundamentals are roaring with strength. The U.S. economy added 172,000 jobs in May, crushing expectations. Manufacturing and construction are booming, government employment has fallen for 17 straight months, small business hiring is up for the third month in a row, and job openings are near a two-year high. Manufacturing has expanded for the fifth straight month at the fastest pace in four years. The services sector has grown every month since President Trump’s return. New home construction is surging, home prices are falling in over half the country, and income growth is outpacing rents — restoring housing affordability to near pre-pandemic levels.

📋 Health insurers are slashing red tape. UnitedHealthcare has eliminated prior authorization requirements for 30% of procedures — the latest major insurer to act after commitments secured by the Trump Administration. Overall prior authorizations at the nation’s largest insurers have dropped 11% from last year, sparing 6.5 million procedures from bureaucratic delays.

🏠 Immigration and visa enforcement are driving down housing costs. Aggressive crackdowns on illegal immigration and H-1B visa abuse are slashing housing demand (and costs) across the country — especially in high-immigration tech hubs — delivering real relief where costs had surged the most and helping bring housing back within reach for American families.

💊 Drug prices are actually falling. President Trump is the first President to actually bring down overall prescription drug prices, and the data is only starting to show up — with President Trump’s landmark Most Favored Nation initiative projected to save Americans $500 billion over the next decade while protecting innovation and expanding access. Meanwhile, TrumpRx continues rapidly adding discounted prescriptions — including hundreds of new generic medications — to its platform, saving Americans hundreds of millions of dollars already.

🏗️ Steel imports are collapsing as American production surges. The Remarkable Story Of Jewish Resurrection

Excerpted from "The Iron Lady of The American Jewish Right" an extraordinary interview with Ruth Wisse in this wekend's Wall Street Journal:

Much of her extended family was murdered by the Germans, but “the investment in Holocaust education has been a huge mistake,” she says.

“We should remember it every day of our lives, and we do. We still mourn the Temples of Jerusalem.”

She sees the public Holocaust education effort, however, as a Jewish gesture to Christians: “Show them the crucifixion of the Jews, as if it could be redemptive for the rest of us.”

Even accepting the Christian framing, Ms. Wisse says, “we left out the resurrection. Not in three days, but in three years.”

From the end of the Holocaust in 1945 to Israel’s 1948 founding, “the Jewish nation resurrected itself— and that is a miracle.

“It’s not that the waters parted,” she says. “The Jews had to part them.” The Arabs had succeeded in choking off the Jewish escape from Europe to Palestine when it counted most, and then rejected the U.N. partition plan for a Jewish and an Arab state. After nearly 2,000 years of exile, the Jews had to fight off the invasion of five Arab armies to win independence.

“The resurrection of the Jews is the greatest story ever told,” Ms.

Wisse says, “and while our enemies were hard at work uglifying it, we told the story of the Holocaust.”

The student newspaper of Loyola University Chicago has issued an editor’s note apologizing for calling the alleged killer of 18-year-old student Sheridan Gorman an "illegal immigrant," saying it didn't align with their style guide or values.

The editor's note reads: “No human’s existence is illegal, and we quickly changed our wording to reflect that. We acknowledge the harm such language can cause and the power and importance of the words we choose to use.”

Senate OKs Testa Bill On Full Epinephrine Access

The New Jersey Senate passed legislation sponsored by Senator Michael Testa (R-1) that would expand epinephrine administration mechanisms permitted in schools, institutions of higher education, and youth camps.

“When a student is experiencing a life-threatening allergic reaction, every second counts,” said Sen. Testa. “This legislation ensures that schools, institutions of higher education, and youth camps aren’t limited to only one type of epinephrine auto-injector and instead, can use any single unit dose epinephrine mechanism immediately to save a child’s life.”

Specifically, the bill amends current law requiring the use of a prefilled auto-injector mechanism to administer epinephrine in a school setting to allow any FDA approved epinephrine administration mechanism to be used during an in-school anaphylaxis emergency.

Don't Be Fooled By Notre Dame's Semantics!

A special message from the Cardinal Newman Society: They say the problem’s fixed. Not so! Instead, Notre Dame’s leaders are up to the same old tricks. Catholic families shouldn’t be duped. Last month, Notre Dame invited a barrage of criticism by dropping “Catholic mission” from its “Notre Dame Values”—standards which every Notre Dame employee must uphold. Now the university’s leaders have restored the words “Catholic mission,” but it’s no reversal. It’s a sleight of hand. The new language reads: “Catholic Mission: Be a force for good and help to advance Notre Dame’s mission to be the leading global Catholic research university.” Compare that to the language deleted last month: “Leadership in Mission: Understands, accepts, and supports the Catholic mission of the university and fosters values consistent with that mission.” The reference to Catholic “values” is gone. It’s replaced by the admonition to “be a force for good,” which would satisfy any atheist. It has all the Catholic piety of “happy holidays.” It certainly offers no hope that Notre Dame will enforce Catholic values on marriage, sexuality, gender, human dignity, and the sanctity of human life—and that, we believe, is precisely what Notre Dame wants to avoid.

Support FAITHFUL Catholic Education

Requiring employees to uphold Catholic morals would be hypocritical: Notre Dame covers contraception in its employee health plan. Same-sex "spouses” are awarded employee benefits. The university protects professors who promote abortion and same-sex marriage. It honors pro-abortion politicians and Catholic dissidents, such as former President Barack Obama in 2009 and Vice President Joe Biden in 2016. It welcomes campus speakers who openly oppose Catholic teaching. Imagine Notre Dame fighting an employee lawsuit, claiming it must enforce the same Catholic values it already flouts! We suspect attorneys made the call: better to drop all reference to Catholic values, lest someone take them seriously. Instead, under the guise of “Catholic Mission,” Notre Dame now admonishes employees to “help to advance Notre Dame’s mission to be the leading global Catholic research university.” Since when does “Catholic mission” mean secular prestige?   The haughty ambition of Notre Dame’s leaders is irrelevant to the Catholic formation of students. The new language treats “Catholic” as nothing more than a brand, without reference to Christ and salvation.   Employees no longer are required to “understand,” “accept,” or “support” Notre Dame’s Catholic mission. This is a far cry from the hope of Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C., that his university would be “the home of innocence and virtue.” It’s high time Catholics break free of Notre Dame’s storied reputation. That reputation was earned decades ago, when the university was a shining example of Catholic education. The luster is gone.   Catholic families should instead entrust their students to Newman Guide Recommended colleges. These colleges provide education that forms students in knowledge, wisdom, and virtue, in the light of our Catholic faith. That’s Catholic mission. Sincerely,

Melania Trump Launches 'Fostering The Future'

First Lady Melania Trump successfully organized a new Executive Order entitled, “Fostering the Future for American Children and Families.”

Under Mrs. Trump’s leadership, this unprecedented presidential order unites Federal resources with innovative public- and private-sector partnerships to provide more pathways to success for young people who have experienced foster care.

The First Lady joined President Donald J. Trump at today’s historic signing ceremony at the White House.

The Executive Order on Fostering the Future for American Children and Families contains the following provisions that have been central to Mrs. Trump’s focus as First Lady, among others geared toward maximizing strategic partnerships with Americans of faith and modernizing the child welfare system:

• Fostering the Future Pledge & Future Commitments: Establishes a Fostering the Future program to secure government, private-industry, nonprofit, and academic partners’ commitments for new educational and employment pathways for youth transitioning out of foster care;

  
  

• Online Resource and Planning Hub: Authorizes the creation of a Fostering the Future online platform for current and former foster youth to develop customized plans for their self-sufficiency and success by connecting them with critical resources;

  
  

• Increased Access to Federal Support: Increases access to Education and Training Vouchers and federal grants to support more time-limited and credentialed programs that promote educational success, workforce advancement, and financial literacy for young people transitioning out of care; and

  
  

• Expanded Educational Opportunities: Expands educational opportunities by facilitating state use of scholarship programs funded by tax-credited donations to scholarship-granting organizations for children in foster care.

As a result of this new executive order, and as part of First Lady Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future initiative, public and private-sector partners can make commitments to expand access to mentorships, scholarships, technology, and workforce training for youth who have experienced foster care. These pledges will reflect a shared national effort to ensure every young person has the tools to build a strong and independent future.

The following Federal partners announced new commitments as part of this effort:

• The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS): In addition to implementing the directives of the Fostering the Future Executive Order, the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) will also launch a Fostering the Future-aligned initiative to keep children safely with their families and reduce unnecessary entries into foster care while also increasing the availability of foster homes for children and youth. ACF will also announce a new pilot program to donate decommissioned federal laptops to youth in foster care to help bridge the digital divide and increase access to online resources that are critical for a successful transition to adulthood.

  
  

• The U.S. Department of Treasury and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development: These Departments are committed to hosting a series of roundtables across the country to learn from youth transitioning from foster care about unique obstacles to financial literacy and opportunities to support them on a pathway to sustained financial well-being. These Departments will establish policies and programs to help ensure that the transition process from foster care includes a strong financial literacy foundation. An initial statement of findings from the roundtables will be made available in Spring 2026.

  
  

• U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM): OPM announced a new opportunity for youth and young adults who have been in foster care to obtain federal jobs via the Pathways Programs – a special federal government hiring authority for early career talent. In consultation with youth who have experienced foster care, OPM will collaborate with federal agencies to identify internships and early-career employment that provide hands-on experience in government. To strengthen readiness for public service, OPM will build a dedicated applicant portal and incorporate a speaker series and other professional development activities to help participants build skills, networks, and confidence to succeed in the range of opportunities available through federal service.

Private-sector organizations looking to join First Lady Melania Trump in supporting Fostering the Future, are invited to sign the Fostering the Future Pledge at WhiteHouse.Gov/FosteringTheFuture.

First Lady Melania Trump established Fostering the Future in 2021. Fostering the Future, a Be Best initiative, offers scholarships at the university and college levels to individuals within the foster care community. It's truly inspiring to see everyone gathered here together, united in support of this remarkable initiative and community.  As I stand here and observe the audience, I recognize the vital importance of each one of you—to this mission—to our future generations.

In particular, I would like to thank the cabinet secretaries, congress members, scholarship donors, and various organizations for their unending advocacy.

A special thank you to my husband for his enduring commitment to Fostering the Future.  The President has prioritized America’s foster care children, and shortly, he will sign our Fostering the Future Executive Order.

Too many people from the foster care community end up homeless, in danger on America’s streets.

It was 2021 when I developed the idea to establish an impactful platform with an important mission: to provide individuals from the foster care community the ability to secure an entry-level job position, and in turn… financial independence.

Fostering the Future, a Be Best initiative, provides individuals from the foster care community with technology-based scholarships to attend colleges and universities throughout America.  Fostering the Future sets these individuals on their career paths, but more significantly, it equips each scholarship recipient with a fundamental foundation of knowledge that will endure throughout their lifetimes.

Permanency for those who embody the fleeting.

I applaud the American Universities that have joined my mission—institutions like Vanderbilt University, University of Miami, and Villanova University.

Following graduation, scholarship recipients from my program are prepared to enter the workforce, and, ultimately, become leading executives. Predictably, they will manage thousands of employees and generate significant value for American communities—through job creation, access to healthcare, food security, and other societal benefits.

This Executive Order, “Fostering the Future for American Children and Families,” gives me tremendous pride. It is both, empathetic and strategic. It will certainly be impactful.

It aims to establish a comprehensive network connecting federal departments and agencies, private sector businesses, higher-learning institutions, and charitable organizations. This will create new educational and employment opportunities countrywide. Our faith-based organizations will continue playing a vital and consequential role.

My hope, of course, is that this level of coordinated collaboration will sustain. But today, I call on leadership from these various organizations, including the private sector, to join my effort. Rise above the ease of inaction.

I predict this small spark today will ignite a profound and lasting nationwide movement. Our united resolve will foster a thriving future filled with compassion and innovation.

Together, we will illuminate the pathway for today’s foster children to become tomorrow’s builders.

And tomorrow’s builders will foster the future of America’s legacy.

After Guido’s death in 1981, Mariuccia devoted herself increasingly to philanthropy and cultural promotion.
