Here's the deal: These people deliberately (and fraudulently) present an amorphous front.
They espouse to have no leaders, no goals, no specifics and no demands because that's all part of their strategy. If they have no leader, there's no one to target -- no on for the public to focus on; and no one to negotiate with.
If they have no specifics (no announced demands or specific goals) then there's nothing for people to take issue with or disagree with and (again) there's nothing for the powers that be to negotiate. Then, anyone can view the "demonstration" any way he or she wants view it and it can appear to embrace whatever you think it embraces.
That's why different people of different ideologies and different political stripes and socio-economic groups and support or at least sympathize with The Occupation(s). Whatever it appears to be to you, that's what it is.
This is all deliberate. It's planned. It's part of the strategy to buy time, build support and slowly inch toward broader disruption and/or play the martyr card. Again: An OCCUPATION of a public space is NOT a demonstration. A demonstration is not open ended -- and I must assume that their "permit" to do whatever it is they are doing is not open ended as well.
BTW: Pretending to be naive and/or unaware of rules, regulations, etc. and other maters about all this (on the part of The Occupiers) is also part of the whole scheme.
These people are hardly naive or unaware.
They know exactly what they're doing.

Dan, the OWS crowd doesn't know what they want because the motive has been hidden from them by the people who fund the effort. It has nothing to do with WALLSTREET. Or Kapitalizm.
Governor Bev let the cat out of the bag some weeks ago. Suspend or cancel the elections in 2012.
The Libs know Obama cannot win. So, they are starting now to raise a ruckus, knowing the elite MSM media will tire of covering their antics. They maintain a presence until the election when Soros, et.al., the SEIU, and others explode the number of "protestrers" in November '12.
They plan to disrupt voting at select states, cities, and precincts to re-"elect" Obama. The addresses of the collection points for ballots are known. They mob will steal ballots from specific precincts. They will invade the "counting house" and destroy selected voting tabulations.
Did you REALLY think a bunch or malcontent ne'er-do-wells truly care about Wall Street?
It's a pre-cursor for an election nullification in November 2012.
I don't put anything past them.
