Bartiromo OUT At Fox: They're Losing Their BEST!

Fox Corp has parted ways with Maria Bartiromo. In other words, far as we can tell, she's been fired!

And WE are not amused. Not one bit! Maria has always been tops in our book.

In fact, anyone who knows her or has worked with her can tell you that she is/was the hardest-working journalist at the company -- in fact, she's one of the hardest working journalists anywhere where and she's been an absolute trailblazer for women.

Maria worked at CNN as a producer for five years before joining CNBC in 1993, where she worked on-air for 20 years. She was the first television journalist to deliver live television reports from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She has won numerous awards for her work on these programs, including two Emmy Awards. 

Maria has given everything to her 12 years of work at Fox Corp. And she certainly did not deserve the manner in which she was dismissed --abruptly and apparently without explanation. She worked six days a week and had a presence on their platforms seven days a week. She was always a class act and embodied what journalism should be.

Fox stripped Maria's name off every show she built. Mornings with Maria is now just Mornings with FOX Business. Her Friday night Wall Street show got the same treatment. Sunday Morning Futures is being handed to Jason Chaffetz this weekend while they figure out a replacement. We look forward to seeing what she does next.

BTW: there's even been some talk that Maria may become the new White House press secretary. We imagine she can pretty much have her pick at Newsmax or News Nation or any one of a number of other outlets that would be glad to have her.

Be sure of this: we will follow Maria wherever she goes. As for Fox -- shame on em!

About That PA GOP Senate Debate . . .

I watched that Republican Primary Senate Debate on TV last night. Newsmax did a nice job with it.

Of course, everybody's talking about Dr. Oz. He's the "glamour" candidate in Pennsylvania this year. And, goodness knows, Pennsylvania could really use a bit of sparkle, don't ya think? Anyway, I thought Oz did well but nobody knocked it out of the park last night.

Kathy Barnette has no depth and she can be very annoying, though her story is compelling. 

The former ambassador (Carla Sands) was likewise without a lot of substance. And her answers seemed vapid at times. You had to wonder what she was doing there.

McCormick comes across as the establishment candidate and looks boyish and bookish -- like someone Karl Rove would pick. I don't think same old/same old will cut it in a post-Trump world.

I get the sense that Bartos is really smart but he keeps going back to his program that he established during the pandemic to help small businesses. Hey, it was admirable. Still, I'm sure he has more than that but it wasn't coming across last night. Nonetheless, he seems likable -- or is he just "likable enough"?

And Oz should smile more. He's obviously smart and hugely accomplished but I need to feel more warmth from him. Plus, those eyebrows! I dunno. He needs to break away from the pack real soon if he's gonna win this thing and sometimes he seems vaguely detached.

Of course, I don't vote in Pennsylvania, but if I did and if I had to vote now?

I guess I'd vote for Oz because he could give PA some status, some heft, come clout -- which it BADLY needs. And presumably, he can win because he has the name and the $$$. But why did he vote in the Turkish election in 2018? Dual citizenship, I get it. But, still . . . . 

After Oz, for me it would probably be Bartos. He came across as authentic last night.

Bottom line: I'm not sure any of these five has really captured the public's imagination at this point. That tells you a lot right there. Oh well, the clock is ticking . . . . . 

Michelle Tape This Week?

An untold story lies behind Hillary Clinton’s determination to remain in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination — the possible revelation of a shocking recording of rival Barack Obama’s wife Michelle.
That’s the word from longtime political analyst Roger J. Stone Jr., who writes on his The StoneZONE Web site that the recording purportedly documents Michelle Obama making racist comments in a speech.
According to Stone, Hillary aides are in a race with Republicans to get their hands on the offensive recording.
“On the heels of Michelle Obama’s quote that she ‘has never been proud of her country’ until now, the new controversy could turn the contest upside down, but it more likely” to benefit “John McCain than to boost Hillary Clinton to the nomination — if the alleged recording exists,” Stone writes.
He also asserts that Mark Penn, Clinton’s former chief campaign strategist, has told sources that the bombshell “could come this week.”
Note: Stone is the same guy who tipped people off to Eliot Spitzer's escapades. He's
